Crema's Take
“Grits and Eggs is a warm, no-fuss Atlanta breakfast spot where you'll experience genuine Southern hospitality alongside seriously good food—think perfectly seasoned collards, creamy mac and cheese, and pork chops with gravy that'll have you planning your next visit before you finish your plate. The vintage photos of accomplished Black figures adorning the walls add character to an atmosphere that feels both celebratory and welcoming, whether you're grabbing coffee solo or settling in with family for a leisurely brunch. With quick seating, attentive servers like Renee and Sharnae who make you feel seen, and thoughtful touches like private seating areas, this kitchen has clearly mastered the art of making everyone feel right at home.”

Renee was awesome 👌🏾 and attentive. Felt right at home! Food was deeeeelicious! This place is never a disappointment. You must try the pork chops and gravy. The collards and Mac were A-1! I'll definitely be back. This location had a to go buffet and all. I'll definitely be back sooner than later!!
Grits & Eggs Breakfast Kitchen started off strong — no wait at all! I was seated immediately, which already put me in a good mood. My server Sharnae was everything you want in hospitality: smiling, beautiful inside and out, super attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. She made great recommendations and kept the energy positive the whole time. Now let’s get into this food 🍽️🔥 I ordered the grits with catfish and shrimp and mixed a cranberry + apple juice (trust me on that combo). They also have a full bar, though I didn’t partake this time 👀. That catfish though… AMAZING. It absolutely made the dish. Crispy, flavorful, cooked just right — so good that next time I’m ordering two pieces, and yes, I’ll happily pay extra 😂. The only small note: the grits were a bit loose for my taste — a little heavy on the cream — but I still cleaned my plate. No real complaints here. I also loved that they don’t add automatic gratuity. I tip well regardless, but it’s refreshing to see a place that trusts its service — and honestly, they earn it. You can tell the staff actually enjoys working there, and that energy carries over to the guests. I always say: if the food is good and the place is busy, it’s usually the service — and Grits & Eggs delivers on both. This spot definitely rises above the tired “Atlanta server culture” stereotype. Great food. Great service. Great vibes. I’ll be back — probably for more catfish 😌🐟✨
This is my first time here, and I ordered a western omelet, it does come with a choice of biscuit or toast. The atmosphere is cool, with historical pictures of accomplished figures, the food was okay the omelet tasted like any other omelet I've had, it should be a signature omelet that's stands out. My biscuit was very soft but was slightly blackened on top. I'll come back next time to try something different.
I ordered out, fell in love and put this place on my revisit list. A friend and I dined in and we were sat in a private area which was perfect for her since she wears a veil. Although, there ended up being others to be sat in the same area, the original gesture was thoughtful. What drew me to want to patronize this establishment for a 2nd time was that they offer many different seafood dishes which accommodates my diet of only halal meats. I decided on the curry shrimp and grits with a side of breakfast potatoes while my friend chose the salmon and grits with breakfast potatoes. The server was attentive, the wait for food was short. The food smelled great, looked great and was served at a temperature just right. The food was amazing so we already was like this is the new spot. As we were leaving the establishment, I noticed a sign in the window that just cemented this as a spot that I will be frequently coming to. Lo and behold, there is a HALAL poultry certification!!! This is my diet preference so now I can enjoy the meat selection here as well. As if I didn't have a hard enough time choosing from the seafood selection!! Check this place out. It was a little busy but not crowded. There wasn't any overbearing music playing either. The servers all seem to have a really great attitude.
My daughter recommended brunch at this restaurant when my husband and I visited from North Carolina. We were thoroughly impressed with the wait time to be seated (less than 5 minutes), amazing service from LJ (who knows the menu and make great suggestions), and delicious meal. The atmosphere was lively but in no way too loud or rowdy, lots of families. We will be back when we visit our daughter.
