Visited this wonderful place yesterday and all I can say it’s amazing!!! We sampled almost everything…out of this world! Janet, the barista, made our visit even more special. Very knowledgeable about all the products. I would strongly encourage everyone to try this wonderful place out…you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back!!
Easily best hot chocolate I’ve had. My family and I all loved it. Get the darker chocolate versions (>60%). Store owner is super nice and seems passionate about chocolate.
The chocolate is out of this world! Janet is very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate! Gave us great info on different chocolates. We grabbed a little of everything on display and loved the chocolates made in store. Chocolate drinks were delicious! Other than chocolate, you can find natural wines, rare cheeses, gourmet foods, and unique collectibles as well. Nice and cozy environment. Looking forward to coming back soon!
You haven't lived well in Seattle until you've tasted drinking chocolate prepared for you by Janet at Chocolate Vitale. On the corner of 3rd and 63rd is a neighborhood treasure: this wonderful brick building houses a unique proposition -- high-end drinking chocolate, distinctive wines & artisan cheeses, and an abundant vintage vinyl LP collection and the palpable magic of an barista extraordinaire making exceptional quality drinking chocolates upon request. You just clarify dairy or vegan, and what percentage cacao you want your chocolate to be. Their reasonable priced, very thoughtfully curated wine collection includes both local and international bottles, including chilled bottles of Prosecco and Cava to take for same day events, exceptional cheeses to taste and take home, and an assortment of unexpectedly delicious flourless a.k.a. gluten-free cookies and treats. The highlight of the experience is Janet, co-owner of the store who with her husband, Cam, who is the curator of the vinyl section of the shop. They offer the neighborhood the kind of warm and sincere hospitality with an educational flare (you never leave the store without learning some thing interesting about the products) that turns a simple stop into such a memorable experience that you want to repeat it again and again.
I drove through this intersection so many times, and I didn't notice the shop. There are vinyl, wine, cheese, and chocolate shops together. They have chocolate from all over, including WA. There is limited seating inside also outside with umbrellas. Very chatty friendly and lovely lady makes an amazing hot cocoa which is not too sweet. You can taste cocoa nibs' bitterness. Drink slow and enjoy every bit of it with beautiful vinyl sound. I would like to try their wine and cheese pairing next time.
