Crema's Take

Tucked inside the Rio Hotel, this charming brunch spot delivers surprisingly excellent skillets and breakfast fare that punches well above what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant, with staff like Joyce who greet you with genuine warmth and infectious energy. The freshly renovated space strikes that perfect balance between casual and inviting—clean, well-lit, and packed with locals and travelers alike who appreciate quick service without sacrificing quality. Whether you're settling in for a leisurely morning or grabbing a Hangover burger between meetings, The Kitchen Table feels like the kind of neighborhood gem that shouldn't work but absolutely does.

The food here is highly underrated for the quality it has. I had the Chorizo Skillet and Old School breakfasts. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The only thing I found strange was Skillet was served on a plate and not a Skillet. It was still great could be better if served like Guy Fierri's Fajitas. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere was good but not as good as other restaurants in the Rio. Overall, from a Hyatt Globalist perspective, a excellent two days of breakfasts.

We walked by the restaurant and it was packed so we stopped in for brunch. The food came out quick and Joyce was amazing with her smile and infectious positive spirit. I had the veggie skillet. It was healthy and filling. Hubby had the burger and it was juicy and cooked to perfection. All of our food was excellent. We’ll be back tomorrow to run thru the menu.

I don’t understand all the negativity for this restaurant that recently opened at the RIO. I ate here 3 days in a row and entire staff were very friendly and the service was outstanding. Joyce was our server for the 2 days and she was fantastic. All the dishes we had were very good too. The place was pretty crowded and everyone seemed to enjoy the food and service. If you are staying at the RIO, I definitely recommend trying this restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

Located in the Rio Hotel, this restaurant offers breakfast and lunch options for guests. The atmosphere is nice. It’s freshly renovated, has good lighting, is clean, and inviting. The staff seem to be burnt out. Maybe it was a bad day but most of them wouldn’t even smile. The food is ok. Nothing to write home about but also good enough to eat. The biscuits and gravy were so bad our table sent them back. Would not recommend.

Updating for 1/21. This place came back swinging today. I ordered the Hangover burger and it came out both fast, and hot!! Like, under 10 minutes of ordering! The burger was a tasty combination of meat, egg and cheese on a buttery croissant. Only drawback was that the patty was a little over cooked. Fries were hot and crispy. Service today was also prompt. Sat down to dine at about 12:30pm. Hack, it's not a bad place to work from and WiFi is pretty good. This place is Mid and this was some of the most unpleasant food I've had as part of a Hyatt breakfast. That includes Hyatt Place breakfasts! Not a great meal by any definition. Had the Biscuits and Gravy with Fried Chicken and the NY Steak as a side. Biscuit: Small, inedible, stale and rock hard. Sent it back. That has to change. Gravy: Nothing to write home about, wasn't terrible. Chicken: Soggy and lacked flavor. More breading than chicken. Just not good. Steak: Not seasoning whatsoever and parts of the steak were sinewy and inedible. Did come out hot, however. I guess you get what you pay for as it was a $12 Steak. Eggs were cold. It would have been nice as they bought things out as they were cooked. I think my server waited on the Steak, which allowed my entree to get cold. Hash Browns? Don't waste your time. Would I go back? Unfortunately, yes. Breakfast is free for me there and Im here a couple of days.
