Cafe De Leche PCC

Crema's Take

Cafe De Leche PCC in Pasadena serves up genuinely excellent specialty drinks—their cold beverages and creative offerings like Horchata with Espresso really shine—plus homemade pastries and banana bread that keep people coming back in a warm, pretty space with free parking. The vibe is distinctly family-friendly and perfect for lingering over a pour over, though espresso drinks can be a bit hit-or-miss day to day, and you might encounter some variable service depending on who's behind the counter. That said, recent visitors report meaningful improvement and genuine warmth from the staff, making it a solid neighborhood spot worth revisiting.

By far the worst customer service by the glasses individual who is clearly a “coffee Professor” at this school. While It was my fault for asking arguably the dumbest question about their Matcha Ube tea drink, but it gives no right to act the way he did. Personally speaking, my brain isn't at it's highest functioning capability as of now due to being on a prescription medication prescribed by my doctor. Yes, it's part of the side effects of having brain fog. Very rude service and a "know it all" attitude served by, once again, every other bad customer service given by a restaurant associate in the state of California. He had the audacity to ask me "what an expresso" is when it comes to coffee, basically humiliating myself as if I was born yesterday. I held it together as I did not want to cause a scene with my bad temperament and as I might be a lot older in age than the immature individual. I'm just trying to focus on graduating and not getting expelled by saying something back. Anyway, whoever manages this little small café should check up on the individual, because clearly he hates his job as a coffee expert in a junior community college. I will be avoiding this place as their drinks are very poor quality in taste and will be purchasing my coffee elsewhere.

Came here on Monday at about 5:30pm. The guy taking my order was very pleasant. If I come back if and get the same treatment, I might have to up the service to 5 stars. Ordered the Horchata with Espresso, was very good. Needed a bit more Horchata flavor. I'm definitely going to try another flavor.

I wanted to update this review. I came back recently again and it's a huge improvement. Staff are friendly, and the drinks that I've had so far are good. They've done justice to the original location that's in Highland Park. My go-to drinks so far: Vanilla latte (definitely 🔥🔥🔥, wish I had another) Mexi Mocha (🔥🔥) I might just become a regular.

For a coffee and lattes it's really 50/50 on how good it will be day to day. Any other drink, cold or hot is amazing. Their banana bread is one of my favorites. Customers service is amazing as well!
