Crema's Take

Caffe Central is a cozy neighborhood gem where the coffee selection rivals the food—think Cuban and Vietnamese varieties alongside expertly pulled espresso and pour-overs that justify the premium prices. Their generously portioned breakfasts, from lox bagels with all the fixings to creative avocado toast, pair perfectly with those distinctive drinks, and the intimate space feels like the kind of place you'll want to return to multiple times during your stay in the city.

Delish! We had avocado toast which they forgot the avocado but it was so good we didn’t care. Amazing deserts, unique coffee selection including Cuban and Vietnamese. Small space so limited seating but you could get it Togo and sit in Union Square too.

I enjoyed their Lox bagel. The smoked salmon was delicious and it tasted so good with the egg, avocado, capers and cream cheese. It was served with a small bowl of mixed fruit and I paired it with Cuban Latte — perfect breakfast! Service was friendly and fast. There’s limited seating but we were able to get a table right away.

A great cafe for an amazing breakfast! A ton of options for any taste, both for food and drinks. Portions are rather big. We ended up coming there 3 times during our week-long stay in SF. One time they didn't have avocado (pretty weird and disappointing for a breakfast place), but they suggested other add-ons for free instead. It can be pretty busy and loud in the mornings.

We had breakfast here twice during our visit to San Francisco, and honestly, we’d go again tomorrow if our flight back to Maui wasn’t so early. The coffee was delicious, and we ordered the quinoa bowl with eggs and avocado for breakfast, so good and satisfying. The staff was super kind and efficient, everything came out at a great pace, and the quality was consistently excellent. Such a great spot to start the day.

This is definitely one of the premium cafes in San Francisco. The prices were high, however, the sandwiches and bagels looked quite large, and the place itself was cozy, even though it also looked slightly cramped (but that is also quite normal for all buildings in downtown San Francisco), and it was clean & organized. The staff were kind and helpful in recommending menu items. The restroom had a line, however, it was relatively quick and the restroom was clean. Overall, I had a great experience here.
