Austin's Coffee

Crema's Take

This Winter Park institution has been a creative heartbeat in the Orlando area for decades, hosting one of the city's best open mics and comedy nights while cultivating a genuinely welcoming community for artists, musicians, and regulars alike. The espresso and pour over drinks are serious business here, backed by a chill, unpretentious vibe where you're just as likely to spot local celebrities as you are to settle in with your laptop for hours. It's the kind of place where the coffee, live music, and the people matter equally—a true third space that feels less like a trendy café and more like a home base for Winter Park's creative crowd.

Great show and humble people. Live music and local celebrities hang out here. Chill vibe low-key lots cool activities to do with the friends. Great study spot. Love the art and all the music on their new spot that just opened. Go check it out. Very cozy familiar spot. Support local talent. Ophik on the drums.

I love Austin's Coffee. The new location is not bad, I miss the old place but this is technically closer to our apartment. Food is okay but the coffee and music are great. A place for hanging out and spending hours without feeling pressured to leave.

Austin’s Coffee has been a staple in Orlando for decades—especially known for hosting one of the best open mics in the city every Sunday and for fostering a genuinely welcoming creative community. Between the unique decor, eclectic crowd, and strong sense of local culture, it’s long been a favorite for many people for many reasons. That’s why it’s such a relief—and a joy—to say that the grand opening of the new location absolutely delivered. The vibe, the art, the look, and the feel are all still there—but improved. The new space is more open and thoughtfully laid out, no longer narrow or cramped, while still maintaining the character that made Austin’s special. There’s a beautiful interior paired with an outdoor area to hang out, which gives the space room to breathe without losing intimacy. We went for the first Sunday open mic at the new location, and the place was packed. The crowd was colorful, the energy was high, and it truly felt like the community showing up to support something they love. The stage lighting was on point, and the night featured a surprise appearance by local superstar comedian Preacher Lawson (of America’s Got Talent fame), along with the excellent hosting by Craig Norberg, who has been running these shows every Sunday and continues to do an incredible job. The lineup brought together legendary comedians alongside fresh new voices, creating a diverse, supportive, and genuinely fun night of comedy. Everyone was encouraging, the room was engaged, and you could tell people were just happy to be there. Austin’s Coffee didn’t just reopen—it leveled up. The heart of the place is still intact, the community is still strong, and the future looks bright. I’ll absolutely be back.

Its a bit trendy, but good menu. See pics for atmosphere. Open comedy nights sunday 8 pm. If youre a comic, call early to get on the list or it wont happen.

Came in the day after the grand opening. Unfortunately the espresso machine was down, so I just had the coffee. This has more space than the old place and it will only be a matter of time before it has the same lived-in feeling as the old place.
