Crema's Take

This welcoming Ypsilanti café near EMU has become a genuine community hub thanks to owner Zee's infectious kindness and the genuinely stellar atmosphere that keeps students and locals coming back. Their signature creative drinks shine—especially the Hazelnut Spice Latte—and they rotate pastries from local bakeries while staying committed to real accessibility through the EBT Restaurant Meal Program. It's that rare coffeehouse where you feel equally at home settling in for a study session or lingering over a conversation, backed by staff who actually care.

I came to Stimulatte Cafe to study and get a lot of work done. It was great because it is close to EMU and the atmosphere was great! From the environment, to the kind and welcoming staff, and the amazing coffee, it went above my expectations! I got a hazelnut latte and it was one of the best I have tried. This will definitely be my go-to spot for studying and getting some great coffee:) Highly recommend!!

I would give this 100 out of 5 stars if I could!! The food and drinks were amazing (especially the Hazelnut Spice Latte, iced) and the owner was so extremely kind and welcoming. The place itself was super cute and there were many outlets for me to use my laptop for work (which can be rare with coffee cafes in the area). It was my first time going, and I am absolutely adding Stimulatte Cafe into my weekly routine. VERY strong recommendation to go and enjoy! (I meant to take a picture of my drink and food but genuinely forgot to capture it before I consumed it all)

Lovely community café! Owner Zee is a breath of fresh air. ✨️ Very informative and welcoming. They are part of the EBT Restaurant Meal Program which allows those who are classified as homeless, over 60 or disabled to purchase food at participating restaurants. Heads up--If you're receiving benefits through another state make sure your state participates in the program. That being said, I'm proud to say I was their first successful EBT customer! Zee worked very hard to offer this program to his customers. Spread the word and support this lovely café! 💛💯

This place is awesome with excellent customer service skills. The owner was so kind to me while I was studying. I got the salted caramel latte and it was 10/10 along with the turkey sandwich which tasted amazing (a plus that everything is halal!!) The environment was great. I have been here for 3.5 hours so far and have felt extremely comfortable.

Great spot with a wide variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks. Cakes and pastries from local bakeries on rotation—we had the pistachio-ricotta cake which was good and a hazelnut-chocolate cake which was outstanding. Comfortable inside with chairs and tables and a fireplace and games (chess, checkers, and some other cool looking board games); the owner said they are adding patio furniture soon for outdoor seating. Great addition to this part of town but also worth a trip for the atmosphere (and the hazelnut cake).
