East Pole Coffee Co

Crema's Take

Tucked into the Poncey-Highland neighborhood, East Pole Coffee Co. serves some of Atlanta's most thoughtfully crafted coffee, with a particular mastery of pour overs and Ethiopian single origins that regulars return for again and again. What sets this place apart is the genuine warmth of the people behind the counter and their unhurried approach to hospitality—they'll bring your drink right to your table and have clearly made it their mission to be a welcoming refuge from the typical coffee shop hustle. It's the kind of spot where you can easily lose track of time working on your laptop with a excellent pastry and perfectly extracted espresso in hand.

Great coffee and probably the best cafe in the vicinity - they have good hours (don't close too early or open too late), they come and serve coffee where you are at, they make it perfect, the baked goods are yummy; and they have a nice system to identify customers and what they ordered which is endearing. Love this place!

one of the best cups of coffee you can get in Atlanta and some of the nicest people ever. It’s almost like their mission statement at this place is to stand in contrast to any perceived reputation of short/rude behavior on the part of baristas worldwide. Every single time i have ever come in here, the people working have engaged me in conversation and been more than willing to help pick out the right beans etc. beyond that, like if your intention is to go have a pour over, like really just sit there and enjoy some delicious coffee, i would probably put this in the top 3 places to go do that in this general area of Atlanta. Maybe # 1. They’ve got it down to a science, absolutely delicious.

At the edge of Midtown lies East Pole, an endearing staple of Poncey-Highland. I love that this place is constantly filled with people who are either working away at their computers, coming and going as part of their busy mornings, or chatting with friends and family while their pets sit nearby. Essentially, this is a lovely spot to get acquainted with the local neighborhood, from what I could see. The demand for drinks is extensive, owing to the care they put into their deliverables. Pairing the beachy interior decor with the spacious nature of the venue, though, the wait is pleasant, as one can watch the barista masterfully put together a line of orders at the counter. Drinks are very expensive, so I would recommend trying this place out for a decadent morning coffee. For one, I found the seasonal drink to be rich and as autumn-themed as they said it would be. Plus, once you grab your coffee, the surrounding area is beautiful to walk around. A great start to the day!

Super tasteful specialty coffee… I had two pour overs both Ethiopian beans… they were both lovely… tried the apple empanada and the carrot apple muffin… the muffin is really good… empanada I would pass… great friendly service! So far best specialty coffee for a reasonable price in Atlanta!

Great coffee shop. I tried the pour over and had a coffee from Ethiopia. The bagel I had with cream cheese was also really good. I enjoyed the inside space and really appreciated the two hours of free parking. This is a great spot to come work or have a meeting for one to two hours on weekdays. On weekends I think it’s limited to one hour.
