I can say visiting this place was an experience. Nothing like getting a cup where the rim is covered in dust, your carafe is cracked, and your coffee tastes like race track gas station coffee. It did look nice inside but it was packed with people and the moment you get up to get your drink someone's already claimed your spot that you just left to retrieve your coffee. I didn't even finish my coffee I just left frustrated.

Traveling always involves the best thirdwave coffee shops and Collective exceeded my expectations. The coffee was splendid and the esthetic was my style all the way! I even met a few new people!

This place definitely has a loyal following bc based on my visit I will not be coming back and this place was packed on a Saturday at 10 am. My husband and I came to read a book and work on the laptop. Pros: - Tons of tables and seating. Various sizes of tables accommodating anywhere from 1 - 8ish people. - Plenty of room in between tables. Didn’t feel like sardines - Clean restrooms - WiFi - GF options for pastries and they use separate tongs for GF - The everything cruffin was tasty! It’s probably from La Casita Bakery Cons: - The drinks are lukewarm and inconsistent. We ordered two cortados-one was a little warmer than the other bc the colder cortado had significantly more milk in it. The temperature felt like it had sat out for 20 minutes, but my husband picked them up as soon as they came out. Also, the cortados were not served with seltzer, which is disappointing. - The line to order is unnecessarily long. There is one menu on a sheet of paper, right by the register. So you hold up the line figuring out what you’re going to order. - The GF cinnamon roll is disgusting. It does not taste like real food. The GF pumpkin loaf was edible, but seriously lacked in flavor. Pumpkin spice does not have gluten in it. Please use more. I also ordered the Collective latte with PB, honey and sea salt. It was nice. Very much lukewarm, but nice flavor. Parking is kind of a pain.

We absolutely love collective coffee if you’re just going there to do some business meeting or just relax and drink some coffee or tea. But what we really love as well as the business owners are local and super easy to work with an amazing. We loved renting this space for our Global Women’s Empire Friendsgiving such a beautiful space. We are grateful to work with local business owners like David. Thankful for the amazing staff that helped us at our event. We will absolutely be back again and all the women Business owners really loved the coffee shop.

Collective Coffee is a must-visit in Downtown McKinney! The space is gorgeous—over 4000 sq ft with cozy seating, work-friendly vibes, and everything you'd want in a local café. Their almond and raspberry croissants are flaky on the outside and filled with the most delicious cream inside—easily some of the best pastries I’ve had locally. I loved both the hot and cold coffee options, and the kolaches were such a fun, tasty surprise. Whether you're looking to work, relax, or catch up with friends, this spot checks every box. Definitely worth the stop!
