So, there were driving down Mustang Chocolate Bayou Road and in a bit we run into this coffee house. We contacted the Alvin City Council and said to them, hey , why don't you rename that Mustang Chocolate Bayou Road to Non-sequitor Street and call your Coffee House, which was founded in 2020, The 200 Year Late Cafe! They refused to even accept our petition, which we put a lot of thought into. This is a nice place for a weird little town. You really can't go wrong with this place.

The food is good, the atmosphere is good, the service is great, but the COFFEE…. not good! I stopped coming as much bc i feel like the coffee is too expensive for it to be this bad. I think the baristas need better training bc the coffee is never good. I love it here and i wish y’all the best but please train your baristas better. Nothing is ever proportioned correctly and I used to be a barista when I was younger, but the coffee has been awful the last year or two :/

I visited 1820 today for the first time and was genuinely excited to try it. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming, and most of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, especially when it came to recommending drinks and food. That positive energy really stood out and made the visit enjoyable. However, I did want to mention one small part of my experience. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but there was a young blonde employee who appeared to be on her phone for much of the time I was there. While the other two employees were consistently moving, working, and helping customers, she just played on her phone. Aside from that, my experience was very pleasant, and I appreciated how welcoming and hardworking the rest of the staff were. I would still recommend 1820 and look forward to coming back again.

This coffee house is a quiet gem. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. Inside is plenty of room with chairs and tables for a non-rushed experience. Fantastic selection of coffees and food items. OK, maybe don't come here: I'd like to keep it to myself :)

I just moved to Alvin and this has become my new favorite hang out! Fresh brewed coffees and teas with monthly employee favorite features! The turkey pesto panini is scrumptious but I'm addicted to hot Pomberry tea and a lemon bar....such a heavenly paring :)
