I want to love Second Coffee Shop, and I really do! 😊 The staff are incredibly friendly, and they genuinely care about making you feel welcome. The kids play area is a huge plus - it's so great to see families enjoying themselves. That being said, the coffee quality could be better. The flavor isn't quite hitting the spot for me, but that's a minor complaint. What really makes this place special is the community vibe. The lady who helped me order was super helpful, and another mom in the play area was so warm and friendly. As someone with social anxiety, I really appreciate the inclusive atmosphere. Living within walking distance is a dream, and I'd love to make this a regular spot. My daughter has autism, and the staff's understanding and patience have been amazing. One thing that's tough for me is the noise level - it can get a bit overwhelming. Has anyone else with similar struggles been here? Any tips on how to make our visits more enjoyable? 🤔 Despite that, I'll definitely be back - the people make it worth it. Maybe with a bit of experience, I'll find my groove here.

Found this spot this morning, stop by and grabbed a few coffees. No complaints, fast service and good Hot Coffee. I will bring my wife by next time and hang out.

We finally made it to Second Cafe after a year of traveling, and it did not disappoint! I got the chai, perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. My partner had the pumpkin pie latte, which was so yummy and full of cozy fall flavor. We also tried the apple butter goat cheese toast, the sourdough was amazing, though the toppings were a bit heavy and made it a little soggy. Still tasty overall! The space itself is such a gem for Roanoke. The kids corner was a huge hit with our toddlers (apologies to the regular relaxing on the pillows our kids got very friendly!). The atmosphere feels warm, inclusive, and welcoming. Exactly the kind of place we love to support. We can’t wait to come back!

Just LOVE the vibe and deco of this place and the crew!! We wished we lived in the area so we could be regulars. The Flat white (including the corn free mocha ) was excellent. 👌 Loved the plants. Whether you make a quick stop in and go or hang for a bit, you won't be disappointed!

Our FAVORITE coffee spot in Roanoke! Friendly staff and patrons, the best queer hangout in town as far as we are concerned. But don’t just come for the vibes, the COFFEE is excellent! My partner is a top-tier coffee snob and this is the only shop in Roanoke that passes muster.
