Crema's Take

Port Coffee is a strikingly beautiful West Bank spot that's become worth the drive from the CBD, specializing in Yemen coffee and thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks that customers rave about with genuine enthusiasm. The team clearly takes pride in both their coffee knowledge and hospitality, creating a gracious atmosphere where they're happy to guide you through their house specialties, whether that's a perfectly executed cortado or their signature creative drinks. Pair any of their carefully made beverages with the standout pistachio croissants and you've got the kind of experience that keeps people coming back—the kind of place that feels special without trying too hard.

A new coffee shop just opened in town, and it was my first visit with a friend. We tried their coffee and the pistachio croissant—both were really good! ☕🥐 The place has a great vibe for dining in and hanging out with friends. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Made the drive from the CBD over to the West Bank to check out Port Coffee Company and I got there quicker than my GPS had time to start arguing with me 😅🚗💨 (about an 8 minute drive). It’s tucked inside a plaza with a lake, ducks, palm trees, and that clean Mediterranean-style architecture vibe 🦆🌴🏛️. To actually reach the shop, you’ll circle around the lake and basically hit a little U-turn situation. Parking is a bit tight, so be ready for some parallel parking confidence (or a quick prayer) 😭🅿️. When you walk in, the interior design is gorgeous. Navy tones, warm gold finishes, quality materials, and comfy seating that feels way more “lounge” than “grab and go” ✨🪑. The menu and atmosphere lean Middle Eastern / Mediterranean inspired, with eye catching pastries and drinks (including some of those trendy chocolate style items people love) 🍫🥐. I ordered the mocha frappe and it was smooth, rich, and super consistent. No weird ice chunks, just creamy and flavorful 😮‍💨☕️. Easy 9/10 for me. Service was solid. There were two people working and about 6 to 8 customers dining in while I was there. You can order by kiosk or at the counter, which is a nice touch ✅. Seating wise, it feels like they can handle a crowd, with a mix of high tops, four seat tables, and bench seating. And my favorite part for anyone who works remote: outlets and USB connections along a lot of the wall/window seating 🔌💻. Music was Arabic-language / Middle Eastern style and a little loud. I was on a call and the person I was talking to definitely noticed 😂📞. It didn’t bother me, but if you need library quiet, keep that in mind. Big plus: lots of natural light, Wi-Fi was strong, and they even have table tags to leave a Google review (so yes, they basically handed me the mic) 😄📝. Overall, this is an amazing addition to the West Bank. One of the best new coffee spots in the New Orleans area I’ve tried in 2026 so far 🌟. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the specialty drinks. ☕️ If you found this helpful, drop a like and let me know how your experience compared to mine!

This place is beautiful! One of the prettiest coffee shops in the area. The staff were gracious and kind, answering all my questions. It is a Yemen coffee shop, we ordered some of the house specialty drinks (Mufawar & Adeni tea) and had lots of questions. Lol the honey drenched cheese bread (honeycomb bread) was so delicious! Before we left we got some strawberry lemon mint refresher. So yum! The perfect tart to sweet! We will be coming back for sure.

We loved every bit of this experience. Our drinks were really yummy, it was a salted caramel latte and a cortado. We got this lovely pistachio croissant and it was soo good. I would recommend coming here and giving it a try. The staff was very friendly and helped answer our questions. Best coffee shop I’ve been to in a while.

Every time I drive by Manhattan Blvd, I always pass by Port Coffee Co. So I decided to stop by and check it out during a rainy day. First off, the inside looked so nice and aesthetically pleasing! It definitely gives off a chill yet somewhat fancy vibe which I really like. This would be a good place to study or hang out. The service was nice and quick as well. I got their Iced Port Latte ($8.78 with tax). The drink was good, but it didn’t stand out to me personally. I also wished it was bigger in size because of how pricy it was for one drink. I’d come back, but I’ll probably try one of their other drinks and their desserts. I was eyeing on their Pistachio Latte so maybe I’ll get that next time. Overall, a bit pricy for the sizing and quality, but still a nice place to visit for work, study, or a meet up.
