Inti House Bolivian Espresso Bar
500 W 5th St, Winston-Salem, NC
Crema's Take
“Inti House is a husband-and-wife run Bolivian espresso bar in downtown Winston-Salem where the coffee is as genuine as the warmth you'll receive walking through the door. Their carefully sourced Bolivian beans shine through whether you're ordering a straightforward drip coffee or diving into creative specialty drinks like the bold Running Chaski, and the upscale modern lounge in the 500 W 5th building makes it equally comfortable for a focused work session or lingering conversation over excellent coffee. Regulars keep coming back for the exceptional quality and Diego's obvious passion for sharing what great coffee can be.”

I’ve been coming here regularly for over a year, and it’s become my absolute favorite café in the Triad. The coffee quality is excellent, whether you’re getting a drip coffee, flat white or one of their delicious specialty drinks (my favorite is the Cochalita Espress, with dark chocolate and spices). The baristas/owners, Raysa and Doug, are really passionate and knowledgeable about their craft, and it’s easy to see the love and care they pour (literally) into their business. That brings me to the best part about Inti House: the people and the community they’ve created. Raysa and Doug know all their customers by name and are always quick to start conversations that go deeper than the usual small talk. You might come practice your Spanish, learn about Bolivian culture, or help Doug workshop a new stand-up joke. It’s a place you always stay a little longer than you intended to, and are all the happier for it. If you’re looking for exceptional coffee and genuine connection in a warm, welcoming space, this is the place.
Finally got to try Inti House and I’m so glad I did! I was expecting parking to be hard to find with the location being downtown but there was plenty available. They were so warm and welcoming. The space is quiet, open and well-lit. I tried the Iskay Miski and two cuñapes. Everything was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to try more items in the menu!
My daughter and I enjoyed some fantastic coffee drinks. The husband/wife team is wonderful. They are hospitable and kind and love sharing their passion for great Bolivian coffee!
Great coffee located in the 500 W 5th building in downtown. Very friendly and coffee tasted great! I had the Running Chaski which was bold and flavorful. The lobby has plenty of upscale modern lounge areas. I was able to do some work while I enjoyed my coffee. Will definitely come back again!
Delicious! Diego and his wife have an amazing and inviting personality to add to their amazing coffee! I’ll definitely be going back and I highly recommend! Go visit!
