Crema's Take

Tazza D'oro captures that cozy Italian café feeling right here in Pittsburgh, with a devoted following for their exceptionally creamy cappuccinos and thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks paired with fresh pastries and creative breakfast options like apple hand pies and chia pudding. The intimate, calm space and genuinely warm staff make this a beloved neighborhood spot for a quick specialty coffee fix, though heads up that it's small and can get snug during busy times. Their focus on quality espresso work and homemade-feeling food offerings gives it a distinctly European vibe that keeps people coming back.

Excellent espresso drinks and friendly service. Food looks good to - sandwiches and pastries ready to go. I wish they were open a little later.

I love this spot. Their chia pudding and overnight oats are so yummy. Their cappuccino is very special. It’s a calm and friendly shop. I highly recommend.

I've been to this cafe a couple times. The staff is really nice and you can get creamy lattes and vegan-friendly snacks (overnight oats, chia pudding, etc). It's small, so not ideal for doing work if it is busy (and it can get busy). But overall, a really cute spot.

A charming little coffee shop with great coffee and fantastic pastries! It reminded me of Italy! We visited the shop this morning. My husband had an Apple Handpie and I had a Bacon Cheddar Scone. Both are very delicious! So glad now it opened one in Oakland as well right in the hotel we are staying. We will definitely come back every time we visit Pitt!

This is a hard review to write, because the coffee is great and the staff is so kind. The food however, is not at all worth the price. Pictured below is a $12 breakfast sandwich (not including soggy tomato and wilted lettuce I took off) that was cold with no offer to warm it for me. I completely respect that they source from local businesses but this was not worth even a fraction of what I paid. That being said, the coffee is absolutely worth it, and the pastries may be. Just don't grab food from the cooler.
