Crema's Take

Cafe Seventy8 is a quiet Mission District refuge where artisanal Acme bread sandwiches are the real star, crafted with the kind of care that keeps locals and newcomers alike coming back for lunch. The vibe is deliberately low-key and welcoming—order a quality tea or excellent coffee, claim a spot among the plants and outdoor seating, and settle in with your laptop or a book, though you might want to skip the orange juice. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the owner clearly cares, the pastries are fresh, and the whole experience feels more like visiting a friend than grabbing a quick bite.

Top tier sandwiches, open during breakfast hours. But don't get their orange juice. It's generally unfresh and bitter.

New to SF and waiting to check into new digs. I needed food, tea and WiFi. This place fit the bill. Food was fresh and satisfying with something for every palate. Tea was delicious and good quality. WiFi didn't disappoint. Comfy and simply wonderful! Thank you Cafe Seventy8, you've gained a new loyal customer.

Sandwiches are made in acme bread and they are delicious. I love the plants and want to be best friends with the owner. The Jasmine outside the door mixed with toasted acme bread makes this place smell like heaven. Somehow it's also very cheap for San Francisco.

Sandwich was delicious and the service was great! Seating is limited but is overall low-key and quiet away from the heavy foot traffic of Mission st. I will return to try more sandwiches and bagels out.
