Crema's Take
“Zola's Cafe has built a loyal following over years with reliably excellent espresso and an impressive lineup of fresh pastries and light fare that goes beyond typical coffee shop fare. What sets it apart is the care evident in every detail, from thoughtfully crafted paninis and breakfast burritos that even chef customers praise, to an owner (Matt) who's committed enough to have earned regulars' deep loyalty. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where you can grab a quick coffee and pastry, linger with a friend, or discover an unexpectedly memorable meal.”

My boyfriend who is also a chef himself went in this morning for a veggie breakfast burrito and he was very impressed with how it tasted and also the presentation of his food. 👌 Definitely 5 stars, worth trying. Owners name is matthew. Also said he has a portobello mushroom dip sandwich he was very excited to try for lunch time.
I've been going to Zola's cafe for almost 6 years now. Their coffee has always been on point, and the baked goods are just awesome. I never thought to post a review until now. The current owner, Matt, introduced some changes. I only recently discovered that Matt makes some of the best soup you can get in Auburn. Or anywhere really. There's always great artwork on the walls, and fine tunes on the wire. But during these cold months, let me tell you - a bowl of any soup that Matt makes is going to warm your bones and feed your soul. They have nice salads too. Grab your bestie and make it a date.
We were driving thru Auburn last week and decided to stop into Zolas for a quick lunch. It was a wonderful experience!! The food was very very good. A couple of us had different Paninis-- ( I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Italiano Panini) and one of us had a salad. I very much appreciated the very pleasant atmosphere and the excellent service. BOTTOM LINE--A VERY NICE 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!
I was working in the area and on a whim stopped in to check out the lunch options. To my surprise I have encountered the BEST chicken salad sandwich I have experienced to date. Service with a smile and good conversation as well as in a timely manner. I will return here frequently.
Not terrible, but not anything that special either. Three of us came in (an all female group, will be relevant) and ordered drinks and food. My wife's food was very bland to us, and mine was fine, but it felt like ingredients just lying around tossed together than anything planned out. The drinks also seemed smaller than 12 ounces, but they were in mugs, and the coffee was pretty good. The person taking our order (forgot their name, but had a cool septum piercing) was nice, but the other worker was very short and silent with us. We noticed when a male came in, she was super flirty and friendly with him though. All in all, not for us, but I wouldn't say others shouldn't try it if they feel it's what they would like, and I wouldn't fault anyone that does like it.
