Crema's Take
“Tu Tierra Cafeteria is a hidden gem in Baton Rouge's Latin Market area where authentic Central American and Caribbean flavors meet quality specialty coffee—think freshly made lattes alongside genuinely good boricua and Honduran dishes rather than the usual cafe sidelines. The welcoming, cool atmosphere makes it equally perfect for lingering over breakfast all day or catching up with friends, with regulars raving about both the legit coffee drinks and the phenomenal, freshly prepared food that goes far beyond typical cafe fare.”

Unfortunately, I just tried to call asking a question.I'm not sure if they understand english. But I got hung up on when I guess they didn't understand what I was asking if they sell donuts.I was told, no after the second call, and I was confused.Cause it's literally on their page that they do I think if you're gonna have someone answer the phone, at least have them be able to understand when customers call. It's not professional just to hang up on somebody in their face!
We stopped in for a quick breakfast and were very excited to find a cool and welcoming atmosphere. Such a nice little restaurant. Legit coffee drinks. The latte was great. My wife and I split the Cuban breakfast sandwich. It came with fries and the pork was super tender. They have a nice selection of deserts and if we weren’t hitting the road, we definitely would have tried the chocoflan. It looked awesome. Don’t skip on the little gem. Will have to come back for lunch/ dinner to try more options.
A true Latin American cuisine experience. Authentic Mexican, not tex mex, fare. Go enjoy a Honduran and other Central American culinary experience. The Honduran breakfast was a phenomenally authentic carne asada dish. The coffee was perfectly brewed and the mango juice that I had was not overtly sweet as you find in some other places. I cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
Food is phenomenal! If you’re looking for some good boricua food, this is the spot. I love that you can also get your coffee fix or smoothie fix while you’re there. The service is also great and the place is very cute for a casual brunch or breakfast.
An absolutely amazing experience tucked away from the busier area. Nestled quaintly in the Latin Market area this cafe boasts fresh food, breakfast all day, and a wonderful display of regularly rotated pastries. Cappuccino was splendid and the food leaves you completely satisfied. Will absolutely visit again.
