The Chill Spot @ Notre Maison
36 W 25th St, Baltimore, MD
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Notre Maison in Baltimore, this spot is a genuine community gathering place where creativity flows as freely as their handcrafted sodas and carefully brewed hot teas. Beyond the menu of seasonal snowballs and Italian ice, you'll find a warm, art-filled atmosphere that invites you to linger—whether you're settling in with your laptop for hours or hosting an intimate creative meetup with friends. The owner's genuine engagement and the laid-back vibe make it feel less like a coffee shop and more like a beloved neighborhood living room where meaningful conversations actually happen.”

Beautiful place to come and get a plethora of hot teas and shaved ice. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I suggest their line of soda and their hot teas. Delicious!!!!😋
The Chill Spot is more than just a place to grab herbal teas, handcrafted sodas, snowballs, or Italian ice it’s a true community hub. The art, the atmosphere, and the conversations make it special, but what really stands out is the heart behind it. Ms. Jaqui and Ms. Jay genuinely care about the people who walk through those doors. They host community-centered events, create a safe and welcoming space, and consistently show up for others. Nobody is perfect, but their intentions and impact on the community are real and positive. I fully support this business and everything it represents.
This is a great place to get a delicious snowball, or hot cocoa. They have delicious chili too. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and relaxing and the owner is very engaging. Each time I go there I want to go back soon. Great place in Baltimore to cool out with friends or meet new interesting people. Check out The Chill Spot on 25th St.
I absolutely love this spot!! I’ve hosted two intimate events for my writers group here and we are able to have creative conversations freely without distractions. As for the menu my favorites include the vegan chili, apple ginger ale and then top it off with a chocolate chip cookie. This place is perfect for you to take a pause and connect.
I’ll NEVER in life shop at this place again, one day me and my brother passed by , I begged him to check it out with me figuring it was new because no one knows anything about it in the neighborhood. We spent about 14$ for 3 small snowballs/Italian ice but didn’t make a fuss because the owner Ms.Jackie had amazing energy, showed us around the building , etc. . Fast forward a few weeks later , I live not far from the area and I seen clearly that the business didn’t have much clientele so to be nice and support a black owned business as a black woman I went there today to purchase some plain ice (my biggest pregnancy craving. I get 2 large (plain ice/shaved)1 small egg custard with marshmallow fluff my 8 yr old gets 1 small Italian ice. Do yall know this lady charged me 21.50$ cent…for ICE! this is why I don’t support everyone I understand your business is slow but to overcharge me as a black mom to a special needs child trying to support then make a joke/remark about a “tip” I said why would I give you a tip you charged me 7$ each for cups of ice no flavor, no toppings just ice she said she was just playing. I kept it respectful, grabbed my kid & left. This is the prime example of why I don’t support a lot of black businesses disgusting stuff like this! I’ve been to a lot of snowball/shaved ice business but this felt like pure robbery. P.S a child and its mom came in there to meet one of the employees.. The child looked no older than three, the child ran behind the counter begging for candy , the owner didn’t even allow the mother to get her child before raising her voice at the child saying no don’t do that..NO…when the child and the child’s mother went to sit down to wait for the person, they were meeting the owner made disgusting remarks about the child & how the mother was allowing the child to go behind the counter, which only happened for all of five seconds.
