Another Rich Adventure

I dropped by Daily Grinds this morning following a refreshing run through Frisco. Whenever I’m traveling or back in town, I make it a priority to support local businesses, and this spot seemed like a perfect post-run pit stop. The Experience The weather was perfectly breezy, so I opted for a hot latte to warm up and kickstart the day. The coffee itself was solid, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, there were a couple of hitches in the experience: • Service Speed: Even for a morning rush, the service felt a bit sluggish. I noticed several customers waiting a considerable amount of time for relatively small orders. • Operating Hours: I had originally planned to visit this past Sunday, but the hours are quite limited. A Note for the Owners While I enjoyed my drink, I noticed advertisements nearby for a new cafe called ‘Commissary’ opening soon. I’d hate to see a local gem like Daily Grinds lose momentum or foot traffic to new competition simply due to availability.

If you’re looking for the best bakery and coffee shop in Frisco, TX, Daily Grinds is truly a gem. For the past two years, Daily Grinds has been my go-to spot for fresh pastries and high-quality coffee in Frisco. Navigating histamine issues and food sensitivities can make eating out incredibly challenging, but finding a local bakery that prioritizes preservative-free ingredients and freshness has been such a gift. Their croissants and pastries are always fresh, flaky, and made with high-quality ingredients you can truly taste. It’s rare to find a coffee shop in the Dallas area that is this intentional about ingredient quality while still delivering incredible flavor. Everything feels thoughtfully crafted and made with care. John, the owner, and his amazing team create such a welcoming and supportive environment. They are gracious, kind, and genuinely care about their customers. It’s more than just a place to grab coffee — it’s a place that feels warm, safe, and community-centered.

Cute little spot that is close to lots of hotels! I was on a business trip and came in the morning for a little bit of coffee and work time. At first, I was disappointed to learn that they were out of cold brew, but ordered an iced latte with soy milk instead and that was great--the proportion of milk to espresso in the iced 12 oz. latte was perfect for me. It tasted very smooth and I could tell the beans were freshly roasted and ground. It's also nice to find a place that still offers soy milk--many places don't serve it, and I love the taste as well as the fact that it offers more nutritional value (protein, especially) than the nut milks. Baristas were friendly and served my drink fast.

We tried this place in search of the best croissant sandwich and they placed pretty high! We tried 4 different ones, the Lox, egg saint, ham and cheese, and the Becky. Becky was my least favorite but still really good. They were a little smaller than I anticipated from looking at the croissants in the display, but delicious nonetheless. They were flaky and buttery and fresh. I did notice they trim the ends off them, which was a little disappointing as that is the best part! This could be due to the fact that we got them to go though, so they fit the containers better. We also got a hot caramel macchiato, half sweet, and it was really good. I like my coffee hot, and lots of places make them Luke warm and serve them in to go cups, but they served it in a real mug and nice and hot. The coffee was a bit more of a medium roast, and I prefer dark, but I really enjoyed it. The hub got a dirty London fog, normal sweetness, which was a tad too sweet for us, but we like less sweetness than the average person. Overall we enjoyed this place and will definitely be back! The people working here were super helpful and friendly as well, and it wasn't at all overly busy for a Saturday morning. Definitely recommend this place!
