Crema's Take

This beloved Coral Springs bakery captures the warmth of a traditional Latin American breakfast spot, where the empanadas and cachoakos inspire genuine devotion from regulars who return week after week. The kitchen shows real care in their pastries and light fare, though quality can be inconsistent, and the welcoming atmosphere—complete with plant-based milk options and genuinely warm counter service—makes it feel like a genuine community gathering place rather than just a coffee stop. Whether you're settling in for a leisurely Friday morning or an evening visit, Don Pan delivers that rare combination of homey charm and made-with-love food that keeps people coming back.

I had a traditional breakfast at Don Pan Bakery, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The food was tasteless, and the arepa was extremely salty. Everything seemed like cheap-quality ingredients, and they even served the food on cardboard plates, which made it taste even worse. I don’t recommend this place—not only because of the poor food quality but also because the prices don’t match what you get. That’s why this is empty most of the time.

I had such a magical breakfast at Don Pan! It felt like stars were dancing in my mouth. Honestly, the empanadas and cachitos were the best I’ve ever tasted! They also offer plant-based milk, and you can tell the coffee preparation is done with care. If they could just tweak the coffee a bit more, it would really take the flavor to the next level!

This is my little piece of heaven every Friday morning and any other time I get the opportunity to come back in an evening for dinner. You can taste the love and sense of pride that is put into making the delicious treats they offer. The people that work here like Marisol and Barbara make you feel like a part of their family. Many times they are putting items on your table to try which are all so good! My favorites: Their ice coffee with milk and sugar, Venezuelan empanadas (any variety), their breakfast wraps and soups. Any dessert you try is sinful. Their cakes, pastries and breads you can purchase are excellent options to take home for you to share with your family. I move to Florida two years ago. I love it here but it is hard to make friends and my family is far away. They make me feel like I am part of their family which is the way they treat all their customers.

Visiting from Omaha Nebraska and had to come to back to Don Pan. Everything I have ever eaten at Don Pan has been incredible. The atmosphere and the amazing customer service at the counter warms the heart. Marisol and the other staff are constantly smiling and laughing brightening up my day. Keep up the good work. Everyone should visit and have some empanadas and guava pastries.
