Crema's Take

MiddleCoast is a lovingly restored historic space in Traverse City where the staff genuinely knows their craft and the building's story, creating an atmosphere that feels like discovering a local secret. Their cider steals the show alongside traditional and specialty drinks, while the kitchen impresses with scratch-made burgers and flatbreads that take dietary needs seriously—including thoughtful gluten-free options. It's the kind of place where families linger over games and conversation, surrounded by that rare combination of great vibes, knowledgeable people, and food that actually delivers.

Nice local brewery with great vibes and a very cool staff. The waitress and coffee guy both had in depth history on the building and it's decor. Porter and Stout is good but Cider is where it's at. On point with that stuff. 👌 the place is big with a lot of open space to accommodate larger groups. They have pinball machines, a pool table, and flat screen TVs— something for everyone.

This restaurant was a fantastic choice for our family of five, especially with a couple of gluten-free eaters in the group. We're always on the hunt for a place that makes *everyone* happy, and this one absolutely delivered. Great food, lots of gluten-free options including drink options (Gluten-Free fried chicken tenders gluten-free flat Bread YEEEs please, cider was also on-point), plus fun extras like pinball machines, a pool table, and flat screen TVs—it had something for all of us. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the service. The staff wasn’t unfriendly, just not as warm or energetic as I would’ve hoped. A little more spunk would have matched the fun vibe of the place. Still, it’s a solid spot, and we'd definitely go back!

Middlecoast Brewing Company is in a great location with plenty of paid parking options nearby, making it convenient to visit. The atmosphere is fantastic—inviting, vibrant, and perfect for relaxing with friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the positive experience. As for the beer, it was just okay. While the selection is decent, the flavors didn’t particularly stand out compared to other breweries. However, the overall vibe and service make it worth a visit, especially if you’re in the area and looking for a comfortable spot to hang out. Would recommend for the atmosphere and service, but beer enthusiasts might not be blown away.

Ordered the cheesy bread, supremo pizza and chicken tenders. My mom and I both loved everything and didn’t get sick. They were very understanding about gluten and took our allergy seriously. Our server was Stella and she took good care of us. Highly recommend the place and we will be going back. They also have a dedicated fryer so you can eat fries if you are celiac. They even had dessert options but we were full and decided on next time for dessert.
