Quills Coffee
941 N Meridian, Indianapolis, IN
Crema's Take
“Quills is a spacious downtown Indianapolis spot that takes its espresso seriously, with a solid reputation for reliable oat milk lattes and impressive latte art that keeps regulars coming back. The pastry selection is genuinely excellent and pairs perfectly with their pour-over options, making it equally suited for a quick grab or a lingering afternoon. While the service can be a bit uneven, the overall coffee quality and thoughtfully designed space have earned it a loyal following among specialty coffee enthusiasts in the area.”

I’ve been here several times and have always had a positive experience. The staff is consistently friendly, and the coffee is reliably good — I typically order an oat milk latte, which never disappoints. There’s plenty of seating inside, making it a comfortable spot to settle in for a while. The location is also convenient, with relatively easy parking for downtown, which makes it a great place to meet up with friends. My only wish is that they offered the option to have lattes served in “for here” mugs when dining in. Aside from that, it’s a solid go-to coffee spot.
Decent cup, but I wouldn't say it's great. Shop is nice and spacious. I applaud the effort on the latte art.
My husband and I stopped in for a drip coffee and croissants to go. This was our second visit to this location. I wish that we lived closer because this is the best coffee shop we've found in indiana! The staff is friendly, efficient, and happy to answer questions. The coffee is incredible. It is seriously delicious. The beans are roasted in Louisville, and I look forward to visiting more locations there when we're nearby. I've signed up for a coffee subscription, so we have beans delivered to our house in northern Indiana every month.
I’ve gone here 4-5 times and every time the employees are so incredibly rude. They offer ZERO positivity or a welcoming experience. It’s exhausting dealing with employees like this. No “have a good day” no “you’re welcome, thank you” - NOTHING. The space is empty, uninviting. For what you pay for their coffee you’d think they’d be a bit more happy. I get nobody owes each other anything in this world- but be kind. You never know what someone is going through. Handing me a coffee with not a single expression and sigh is absurd. Go somewhere where you’re welcomed- not here.
A beautiful coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The coffee is outstanding, the pastries consistently excellent—it’s just the service that could use a little polish. Still worth the visit for the atmosphere and quality alone. Edit: Of Course, I sent you an email! Thanks again for creating such a lovely spot.
