Crema's Take

Giot is an espresso-focused shop that's earned serious love for its creative signature drinks and Instagram-worthy croffles, with fans raving about everything from their oolong jasmine matcha to carefully crafted coffee blends. The vibe walks a nice line between a quick grab counter and a cozy spot to linger, though be ready for crowds and limited parking—it's become the kind of place people make repeat trips for. Fair warning: their generous ice ratios on cold drinks are a talking point, but they'll happily adjust for a small upcharge if that's not your style.

This is a pretty cute shop, but super crowded on the day that we went there. They do have a parking lot, but plan ahead: there are a limited number of spaces, and some spaces are only reserved for specific stores. The inside of the cafe is decent, but again, limited number of tables. They serve a variety of beautifully crafted drinks in three different categories: Vietnamese coffee, white coffee, and then matcha. I had wanted an ube matcha but they were out of it, so I settled for a double matcha. Currently their front-facing pickup counter is for online orders, and their in-house pickup counter is on the side, which meant that we had to cut through the line to get our drinks and food. Again, they were busy, so it was a bit of a wait. The drinks themselves are artfully presented and my matcha was very tasty, earthy and creamy without any bitterness. The croffles are decently sized and they do have a buy 2 deal. I had the strawberry pistachio and my friend had the biscoff one. Now I LOVED the toppings of my croffle - the strawberries are super fresh, the cream indulgent, and the flavors all blended well; nothing overpowered the other. But the croffle itself was a little tougher than I expected - not quite sure why, because it's not like it was burnt, it was just difficult to get through with the little plastic fork they had. You might have more luck picking up the croffle and eating it with your hands. All in all, I would recommend trying Giot Cream Coffee - just be sure to set aside enough time to come here, and I would say come early so that you can try things before they run out!

The coffee was delicious, at least the two sips I had because of how much ice there was. They had a less ice option for an extra 0.50. The croffles were so good. Must try! One star off because there was so much ice, and parking can be difficult at times/location.

One of the best coffee shops in Minnesota. You order at the kiosk ( or place your order online ). We didn’t have to wait too long for our drinks but there was a longer wait for our croffles. Although we didn’t mind because it’s worth the wait. My favorites are the marshmallow Vietnamese iced coffee, the tiramisu viet coffee and the pistachio crunch viet coffee. Their coffee is strong and the execution is so beautiful I always have to take a picture. My ultimate favorite croffle is the matcha strawberry and I’ve been slowly trying others but haven’t found another that I’m obsessed with.. yet. I would visit Giot when I could in dinkytown but because they were only open on the weekends it was hard to visit often and try new things off the menu. Now with this location in Richfield that is open 7 days a week we can visit more often. I am so proud of their growth!

I decided to come back here after trying their pop up at the old location. And I’m so happy I went. I tried the oolong jasmine matcha this time and I think this is actually the best matcha I’ve ever had. Even before I mixed the ingredients I tried the matcha at the top with no sweetener and I was very happy with the quality of this matcha. Once mixed, it was heavenly. It’s so interesting to see how flavorful it was without cancelling out the matcha taste because Jasmine is such a delicate flavor and hard to capture in a drink just right, but it shows giot is paying close attention to details. The croffles were also perfect, I really loved how even tho they were sweet they weren’t too sweet. The coffee we tried was just right as well and the coconut on top tasted like real coconut rather than that artificial coconut taste. We got both drinks at 50% sweetness and even then it didn’t compromise the flavor. The prices were also pretty good considering how much matcha costs nowadays. We got two drinks and two croffles for around 25 dollars. Absolutely delicious, I can’t recommend this place enough. Wow.
