Crema's Take

Tucked into the historic Bulkley Building in Playhouse Square, this espresso-focused spot nails the balance between quick caffeine fix and lingering workspace, with baristas like James creating a genuinely welcoming vibe that keeps regulars coming back multiple times a week. The coffee quality is remarkably consistent for a busy downtown location, paired with reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches and pastries that justify the return visits, and the outdoor seating on the concourse adds a theatrical neighborhood charm that feels intentional rather than afterthought.

I visit every couple months while accompanying my partner for his job. They have exceptionally good coffee, pastries and, food all reasonably priced. Even when busy the service is fast and always friendly. You also get the added bonus of viewing the beautiful building it's in. This is a go to place for brunch and coffee when visiting Cleveland!

Nice place, I like that they have added seating out on the concourse. Closest place to get a coffee in Playhouse Square. My biggest complaints is that the same drink tastes drastically different depending on who's making it. I can't get a consistent mocha even if I ask for the exact same thing.

Chill laid back coffee shop. Makes me miss being a barista. It’s located in the Bulkey building. Cool vibes. Lots of energy here. James had a great vibe making ya feel welcome and taken care of. Hope to be back. Prices are def reasonable for Cleveland. Nice meeting ya buddy! Cheers

I work in the Keith Building and come pass here everyday. I began to stop in and now I visit at least twice a week. The breakfast sandwich is delicious and the coffees are perfect. The price is very reasonable. If you don't feel like waiting on Starbucks come on over and have a seat. See photos!!! The owner is hands on and everyone is so nice!!!! Come feel like you are in Italy at this Chic Cafe!!!!

Great new coffee shop located in Playhouse Square. The coffee was great and served quickly with a friendly smile. When building this place they took time to add to the beautiful theaters and building. Highly recommend trying one of the home made pastries.
