Prince Street Cafe

I live near Prince St and I really want to like it but they are so inconsistent. Half the time my food is totally burned. I tried to call to have a conversation and they told me they will not refund or fix my food again so I guess my relationship with them is over. They have repeatedly burned the breakfast burritos and say "that's just how they come sorry you don't like it." They also don't wrap them right. My husband's came out perfect but mine was burned and they basically just told me sorry it's not what you wanted. I don't know that anyone wants a burrito so burnt it's crumbling apart on the outside with undercooked/burnt eggs inside that aren't even scrambled or salsa on half. My husband tried to call back and the kid who called himself the shift leader was laughing in his face. When my husband asked for the information of the actual store manager he refused to give it.

A favorite coffee shop of mine. I tend to always get the same things on the menu because of how good they are. The BEST cold brew, the best lattes (by the way, their syrups are HOMEMADE!!), and I absolutely love their rice bowl. It’s pure comfort. Beautiful inside and fun to sit on the high tops while looking out the window of Lancaster’s theater and arts district. Employees, baristas, everyone is a gem! They serve me so well and call me by name which always makes me feel so special. I adore them! Check them out but be sure to get there early before the crowds. On street parking that you can pay for or a lot nearby. Grab breakfast, then go to Central Market after 😍

we stopped here for brunch on our way home from Hersheypark. We ordered takeout and the wait was only 25 minutes around 11:30 on a Sunday. We got each of the vegan burritos and shared. As well as a vegan banana chai bread and a vegan brownie. I preferred the potato burrito, but my husband preferred the vegan sausage & egg burrito. I would have enjoyed the sausage burrito better if it wasn’t so wet and juicy. You couldn’t tell it was aioli because there was so much hot liquid inside. Also, one side was grilled to a crisp while the other side was doughy. (The egg and sausage were cooked very nicely though) The potato burrito was much more cohesive and had way better overall texture and was consistently grilled. And I appreciated the extra punch of flavor that came from the bell peppers. I couldn’t really tell there was aioli on this either. (Maybe it’d be better on the side and dipped) The chai banana bread was phenomenal! It had a coffee cake type of crumble on top, and the texture was consistent throughout. (There was a teeeeny bit of gumminess as you chew it up, but it wasn’t a problem.) The brownie is definitely NOT a brownie. It’s 100% chocolate cake. (Tasty chocolate cake, but disappointing if you were expecting a brownie. It’s crumbly and fluffy, not dense at all.) we ate half on sunday, wrapped it back up and when i went to take a photo on Monday morning, it was already showing initial signs of mold on top. That was the 6th, but the package says it would be good until the 9th. It also didn’t say to refrigerate, and I didn’t think 1 day on the counter would have been a problem (most muffins and cakes do just fine on the counter for a day). But apparently it was a problem? I picked those tiny bits off and still ate it. It was still tasty… chocolate cake, lol. We sat at the little bistro tables outside at just the right time, because when noon rolled around, the sun peeked around the building and started beating down. No awning or umbrellas in sight.

Wanted to leave a two stars, but the scone was okay. I'm really turned off by this generation of "artisan" coffee roasters who ruin coffee. Expresso was a light city roast at most, leaving a tinny, sour taste to the coffee. It took generations to make coffee consistent and bold. It took one generation to ruin it. Service wasn't terrible. Seating is kinda spars and not really comfortable. But, lots of people seem to like the place.
