Portland Spirit Cruises and Events

My husband took me here for my birthday, and we were genuinely excited for a romantic evening on the water. We’re an interracial couple, and from the moment we arrived at the docks, we noticed a group of women snickering nearby. I brushed it off and moved away for my own peace of mind. Ironically, we were seated in the same room as them. They were loud, disruptive, and making comments that were uncomfortable enough for our waiter to apologize more than once on their behalf. Another guest also apologized. That alone says a lot. The staff handled it with grace, even though the behavior should have never been ours to endure. At one point, I stepped upstairs to reset and enjoy the view, which was absolutely breathtaking. I chose to spend most of my time outside because it was more peaceful. The weather cooperated just enough to make it magical. Truly a beautiful setting for a birthday dinner. Dinner itself was tasty and well prepared. The unfortunate part was having to dine across from guests who continued laughing loudly and behaving in a way that pulled attention from what should have been a romantic evening. Eventually, my husband addressed the situation directly, and the volume lowered. It’s disappointing when other patrons affect the atmosphere, especially on a special occasion. Women can be incredibly unkind to one another, and that part was disheartening. That said, the location, the view, and the food were lovely. I would absolutely return, because I can easily imagine how romantic and memorable this experience could be with a better dining environment around us. Sometimes the setting deserves a second chance.

🦐: Food is good. 🍷: Service is Classy. ⛵: Atmosphere is Elegant. We enjoy this very much so! Serves for a great date night. The pianist is talented, the cruise is soothing and the crew are very polite and inviting. I've taken this Cruise twice thus far and will continue to do so! It's nice.

It was a really enjoyable cruise experience—spanning two hours along the Columbia River, where I took in the sights of houses and bridges on both sides and above us. The ship had three decks to stroll around, with piano music playing softly in the background during lunchtime. The food was quite good, complemented by fresh drinks, and the service was friendly and attentive.

One of the best family dinners we’ve ever had! The food was delicious, the boat was festive and so fun to explore, and the entire crew was outstanding. Our server Lacey was fantastic, and Cory’s singing made the night so memorable! We even got to visit captain Todd in the wheelhouse and take a turn steering the boat. Such an incredible experience from start to finish!

I cannot express how grateful I am for the Portland Spirit and their amazing team. They helped us plan our entire 35 person wedding in just six weeks, with extremely reasonable prices and fantastic customer service. My partner and I both work full time and attend school full time, so we weren’t always easy to reach, but our coordinator Jillian was always on top of everything. And she managed all of this while planning her *own* wedding for the same day. We booked the Crystal Dolphin, and it was perfect. The views were beautiful, the venue was unique, the food was incredible, and the staff went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. I can’t recommend the Portland Spirit enough. We’ll absolutely be back for our anniversary and future Spirit events.
