Crema's Take
“This elevated Skokie spot nails the trifecta of great espresso, creative Argentinian empanadas that live up to their reputation, and a thoughtfully designed space that feels both calm and vibrant with plants and lo-fi soundscapes. The team here treats coffee seriously—no shortcuts with pour-overs—and pairs that espresso focus with intentional touches like meaningful quotes on cups and pastries that actually surprise you (think spinach-feta, guava cream cheese, and samosas alongside the expected croissants). Whether you're settling in with your laptop or stopping by for a cortado and one of those legendary empanadas, the vibe is consistently warm and unhurried.”

I’m happy to say the empanadas are, indeed, worth the hype. I ate some spinach-and-feta bit of brilliance and an apple pie thingie and DAYUM. My (grown) daughter got the chicken pot pie one, and it hit all marks minus a few points off perfection due to a crust/filling ratio issue. Staff was fine but not much need for involvement meant I was hardly able to make any assessment. They sure are running a fine business here, though, and for that I proclaim FIIIIVE STAAAARRRSS Environment: warm dark wood, excellent plants in window, bustling view of Oakton St. Convenient walk from the superlative Skokie Library. Can’t attest as to parking situation right near the shop, but if you’re ambulatory, maybe you’ll enjoy a promenade through the neighborhood
Such a beautiful and elevated space! I had an ice americano and the veggie samosa! So yummy! The service was kind and attentive! I love the quotes on all the cups! They’re all intentional and not some rushed half ass smiley face ;) It’s cool to see so many different people from the community gather here! The vibes are on point ✨
Glad we found it. Great ambiance (plants and the LoFi sound included), great coffee (no pour-overs, but got some of the best Americano I've had recently) and surprising empanadas (tried creative "samosa" crossover). Clean bathrooms. Street parking. The only problem - 14 miles away from home.... But a great choice among the growing coffee spaces popping up in this area!
Great espresso, great food, great vibe 🤍 We ordered a cortado, vanilla cappuccino and 2 Argentinian chicken empanadas. Everything was amazing, great flavor and served hot. Loved the vibe, had various seating options and very clean. Prices seemed appropriate for quality of food items. The barista was very attentive and polite. If you’re driving through or live in this area and haven’t tried it yet, you need to stop here!
We tried their pastries. Guava cream cheese , spinach feta and chicken croissants. And we also tried black seed honey latte. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Sultan was really nice and attentive. He explained the menu items very well and he made the drink. He was really professional. Will come back and highly recommend.
