Crema's Take

Boul'ange is a spacious, jaw-dropping Parisian-style bakery cafe that brings Tokyo's beloved Shinjuku aesthetic to Los Angeles, with an impressive spread of French and Mexican pastries alongside skillfully crafted lattes. The gorgeous, sprawling venue feels refreshingly generous compared to typical LA cafes, with comfortable seating, a lovely outdoor area, and genuinely warm staff who keep the experience seamless even when it gets packed. It's the kind of place where you can linger for hours with your laptop, lose yourself in excellent baked goods, and actually feel like the cafe cares about making your visit special.

I’ve been a few times during their soft opening and their grand opening. The space is GORGEOUS and a lot bigger than most cafes in LA. I have found the food to be a bit pricey but tasty but their drinks were a hit or miss. The coffee beverages have been good but hojicha latte was watery and flavorless. All the salads were really big and tasted good. The cinnamon roll had good flavor but the blueberry concha was fun but a bit dry. Overall a good cafe to work from and a fun place to visit.

Ok this is definitely a great spot! Too full, well this is because they are too good haha. Outdoor area is hot due to summers but the staff is lovely. Food and drinks are amazing here. I would recommend going here when you are ok to wait to find a table as that may take longer. Their pizza and frenchtoast are fab. The wifi works fine. Place is big enough yet many people so headsup there.

Very 👍 ce addition to the area. Comfy seating and excellent baked goods. Wheelchair friendly as well. The French pasties look delicious and they also have Mexican ones. Latte was delicious as well. WiFi, power outlets, parking. Now if they could just get courage bagels on the menu as well we'd all be set.

Said to be popular bakery in Shinjuku, it really tickled my curiosity to pay a visit ASAP. Especially just returned from Tokyo and didn’t get a chance to visit Shinjuku. The venue got my jaw dropped given its size in this location, which was like the city’s kinda center of crowd gravity. So huge, and not only the indoor space but also the outdoor patio. It really felt like I was teleported somewhere out of the city. It seemed to be popular for its baguette, but unfortunately tons of items on the pastry case was already sold out Saturday noon. The waitress did mention they got super busy from really early in the morning. I ended up with her reco of their top items from what’s left on the showcase, getting their Matcha Cookie. Thanks to her, I enjoyed it being not so thick yet lusciously chewy with kickin’ matcha flavor. Going all matcha, I tried their matcha latte, which TBH was bit the opposite to the cookie. While the cookie’s matcha flavor was strong, the matcha latte tasted kinda watered down for my liking. Will I come back? Probably for their other pastries and just enjoying the cozy space!

A lovely new cafe in the neighborhood. I have visited multiple times since the soft opening and I am SO impressed at how seamless and wonderful the service and the food has been every time. Usually when a restaurant first opens there are hiccups. I just do not feel that at all here. The design of the restaurant is beautiful. Every person I’ve encountered that works here has been so kind and so attentive. The quality of the pastries (chocolate croissant, lemon loaf, cinnamon roll) is top notch. The lattes are made perfectly. The tea service is lovely. The food is outstanding - fresh and creative. I am a creature of habit so I religiously order the grilled salmon, roasted beets and Greek salad (all to die for!!) and I rotate trying a new pastry each time I go. The place is getting increasingly popular - they have indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of it but once the word really gets out it will be packed so hurry and go before this happens!! Keep in mind they are still in soft opening phase. They will be adding umbrellas, more landscaping, opening a wall to connect the coffee/smoothie/tea portion of the restaurant (right now it’s separated until they get final permits), opening a separate sushi restaurant next door, rotating pop up’s in the purple building adjacent to the restaurant and a farmers market in the parking lot area! We are lucky to have owners with such a wonderful vision for our community! I will continue to support this business and I suggest you do too!
