Ryze Superfoods
867 Boylston St, Boston, MA
Crema's Take
“Ryze Superfoods specializes in functional mushroom-forward beverages, from their signature mushroom coffee blends to matcha and hot chocolate mixes that lean into the superfood trend. While their actual products earn genuine appreciation from satisfied customers who praise the quality of the mushroom coffee and creamer, the shop has struggled significantly with subscription enrollment practices that have frustrated many buyers who didn't realize they were signing up for recurring charges. If you're interested in exploring their functional coffee offerings, be very careful during checkout to avoid unexpected subscription commitments.”

I bought my first bag directly from their website to see if I liked it. When I ordered, I thought I was just ordering one bag to try it. Their site seems to automatically enroll you in an ongoing monthly subscription which was hard to cancel. I even reached out in an email to Alex to cancel and he said I could only do so on the website. I don't like when companies do this to lure consumers into buying their products and then make it hard to cancel. I wasn't too happy when I kept getting recurring charges for $36 a bag. Frustrating experience.
I ordered 2 Starter Kits. One for myself and the other as a gift. I intended to give up coffee for a couple months and see if this becomes my new every day thing. Instead, when I opened my package, I found that they charged me full price and did not send me the full orders that I made. When I reached out to customer support to explain, they told me that because I ordered two of the kits, they only completed one of them for me and if I wanted the missing items, I would need ot pay another $30. This is flat out FALSE ADVERTISING and a BAIT AND SWITCH. I asked them to either refund my money or send me the missing items. Their customer service rep so far seems less than willing to fix their mistake, so I will leave this review up until this has been resolved, and I will next make a complaint with the BBB. It seems there are many others having SCAM-like or less-than-transparent experiences. This is disappointing. I saw them on SharkTank and thought more of them. I was wrong. There are plenty of other mushroom coffee alternative companies out there to give my money to.
If it were for me I would rate it at zero stars. Wasn’t communicated to me that it was a subscription, and they are still taking money out and sending me product. I’ve been trying to cancel it but it won’t let me, since I ordered without a email I can’t “ login” ( I’ve never had a account with with) so they’ve Been taking my money and I need help, does anyone know what to do?
I really enjoy Ryze superfoods. The mushroom coffee, creamer, matcha, and hot chocolate mushroom mixes are good. Son bought it for us to try out. If you want it for the best price available its clearly says it's a subscription. If not its more expensive and you can get it without a subscription. I like it hubby says its ok. I enjoy it because unlike traditional coffee Ryze doesn't give me the jitters. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. Son got it for us twice but I told him to cancel as its way too much. Unfortunately after its all gone. Im gonna have to look for a cheaper mushroom coffee.
Did not like the product didn’t realize it was a scam that continuously builds you every month cost me another $21 to cancel. The subscription never heard of such a thing.
