Fig & Ginger
1960 Kapiolani Blvd, Honolulu, HI
Crema's Take
“This Honolulu gem surprises with an eclectic menu that blends New American, Italian, and Jewish influences rather than leaning into typical Hawaiian brunch fare, backed by exceptional execution on everything from creative lattes like their fig and almond blend to perfectly executed Benedicts and fresh pastries. The bright, chic space cultivates an unhurried atmosphere perfect for lingering over coffee with friends or a date, where attentive staff and generous portions at fair prices make you feel genuinely welcomed. It's the kind of unassuming neighborhood spot that rewards those who venture past its modest exterior to discover something truly distinctive.”

Extremely pleasant experience! Food was phenomenal, staff were attentive and polite, and the prices were more than appropriate given the portion size and quality. Pictured was the Caprese toast, rose honey latte, and homemade granola (yogurt). Only downside, seating area is a little small and this place is rightfully busy. Food came out quick!
My husband and I had the salmon Benedict, carrot juice drink, fig and almond latte and banana caramel smoothie. All delicious. They were doing a special and had the salmon Benedict and we were both so excited about that. Reasonable prices in a great location. The staff was really nice and efficient! You won’t be disappointed coming here! Background music was nice.
This was not your typical Hawaiian breakfast/brunch eatery. It serves mostly new American, some Italian and even some Jewish food. I had its Italian meatball sandwich with fries covered in marinara sauce and bits of pepperoni. It was pretty good and my wife’s corn fritter was decent as well. The young lady who served us was very pleasant and helpful.
Today I got to try their big breakfast and it was great and the service was very friendly and helpful. This place is bright and chic for dates.
We discovered Fig & Ginger on our first morning in Honolulu, just looking for a place to have breakfast near our hotel. At first, the restaurant didn’t really stand out from the outside—it’s tucked into a small plaza and doesn’t immediately catch your eye. But we are so glad we stopped! We’ve already gone twice during our short stay in Hawai‘i (and plan to return again before we leave), because everything has been outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy, family-friendly vibe that makes you feel at home. Our favorite was definitely the mushroom bruschetta—so simple, yet incredibly flavorful and delicious. The açaí bowl was also amazing, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Honestly, everything we tried was super tasty the 4 times we visited. This spot quickly became one of our favorite finds in Honolulu. 100% recommended!
