The Palms Café

Crema's Take
“This beloved Palm Springs institution captures the classic desert diner spirit with vintage charm—think old classic cars adorning the booths and retro photos on the walls—making it as much about the vibe as the food. The breakfast and lunch offerings are consistently solid with quick service when it's running smoothly, though quality can be uneven depending on when you visit, and the energetic crowd means you'll often find locals lined up to snag a seat on the patio. If you're after that authentic, nostalgic California breakfast spot experience with bottomless mimosas and good people-watching, it's worth a try, just maybe visit during quieter hours to avoid the chaos.”

Terrible service, old coffee, expired creamer. 3rd time trying this location, definitely won't be back. You do not get the same level of service, or food at this location in my opinion. I usually eat at the La Quinta location which is excellent.
Breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong. Service is fast and fantastic overall, food cobes out quick. We've had burgers and a variety of the breakfast and everything is always great. It was hard to leave as the food was so good we couldn't stop and the portions are generous. We left absolutely full.
Good food, local staple, cheap bottomless champagne (one cheap bottle) - but if you want mimosas, the juice costs extra. Service is usually pretty good, but sometimes if it’s busy, you have to wait a bit, but food usually comes out fast once ordered. Prices have increased too much tbh - they should be a couple dollars cheaper.
This place is a local favorite! Good food and great service. Because it is such a local favorite - literally, people waiting to get in all the time - the ambiance is energetic and it can be quite loud, or at least it was on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Food: We were a party of three, two ordered the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad, and one ordered the Cobb - portions were large and filling. Service: Elizabeth, our server, Anna our hostess, and Miguel the bus staff, ensured we were satisfied and were very welcoming despite being very busy due to the popularity of the cafe. Ruben walked by and even offered to take a photo. Parking: There is free parking lot in front of the cafe. If you are looking for good food, large portions, great service, and a taste of the local vibe in a casual yet energetic environment, then you should try this cafe when you are in Rancho Mirage!
The Palms Cafe has a very cute and authentic feel to it. With the old classic cars on the booths and classic photos on the wall. We were greeted and seated right away. Great attention to detail. Absolutely great customer service. Delicious food. They also have patio seating overlooking the beautiful mountains. You can hear the birds chirping. The breathe of fresh air in the morning is very relaxing. Couldn't of asked for a better experience today. Thank you!
