Crema's Take

Eli's Deli leans equally into being a neighborhood gathering spot (with books, games, and a kid-friendly vibe) and a casual food counter, which means the coffee takes a backseat to pastries, sandwiches, and chai lattes. The few reviews here are genuinely warm about the welcome and food quality, though that's based on only 7 opinions, so it's too early to call it reliably excellent. If you're in San Rafael looking for a relaxed, family-oriented spot with decent pastries and a real community feel rather than laser-focused espresso craft, it fits the bill.

Eli’s Deli is such a wonderful spot! They have a huge assortment of meals, snacks, treats, and drinks. They are super welcoming of kids and have books and games available. It is truly a community gathering place.

Great service, delicious spinach, cheese mini quiche on a flattened croissant. Ask them to toast it. Looks like excellent coffee. Real silverware, plates etc. Ambiance - Lots of light. I've only been once but I'll be back for sure. Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Snacks

Best coffee shop in San Rafael. Great sandwiches, salads, pastries. Does catering. Healthier snack and drink choices. Good books and games for kids.

Eli’s Deli opened last week inside the Osher Marin JCC, and I have already gone multiple times for a pastry, chai latte, a rueben and more. Everything has tasted great, the staff are friendly, and the space is cozy. A wonderful addition to the JCC.
