Sarmentine - Organic French Bakery

Delicious French pastries with a wide variety! They also have a day old section in the morning which are still taste fresh. The coffee is also really delicious; they brew land and water coffee and use organic milk products!

My favorite pastry shop. I look forward to the croissants and my husband loves their bread pudding. I order cakes routinely at the holidays and I was excited to see a Valentines pre order menu today. Their desserts are beautiful as well as delicious. I’ve also purchased their bread. Everything- I mean everything is so good. You can’t choose wrong.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and grabbed a couple slices of quiche lorraine, an almond croissant, and a lemon curd tartelette. The quiche we ordered to eat there and they warmed it up for us. It was so smooth and creamy and delicious! We found a cozy nook to sit and eat. We took our pastries to go, but both of them were excellent!

What a delightful stop. The staff were so welcoming. It was like visiting old friends. The atmosphere is absolutely divine and their coffee light roast was fabulous. I will definitely be frequenting this business when I’m in town.

Staying in Calistoga and wanted to start the day with an amazing breakfast. The pastries here are perfectly laminated with buttery, crisp layers of perfection. We tried 3 sweet pastries and 2 savoury. All were top notch quality. The line moved quickly (9:30 am on a Saturday.) Service staff were happy to warm up our croissant and mushroom / bacon tart. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
