Lucile's Creole Cafe
518 Kimbark St, Longmont, CO
Crema's Take
“Tucked into a charming old house with creaky floors and cozy nooks, Lucile's Creole Cafe captures the warmth of New Orleans right in Longmont with house-made beignets, buttery biscuits topped with strawberry rhubarb jam, and expertly crafted espresso drinks that draw loyal regulars and visitors alike. The unhurried, sit-and-linger atmosphere pairs perfectly with their full breakfast menu—think smoked salmon eggs benedict and creamy grits—making it an ideal spot for lingering conversations or solo coffee contemplation. With free parking across the street and a genuinely friendly staff, it feels less like a trendy coffee stop and more like discovering a beloved local secret.”

Fun place and great food. The homemade hot chocolate and beignets were a great start. The biscuits and smoked salmon eggs benedict were also fantastic with the potatoes and grits. Can't wait to go back!
I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! The biscuits alone are well worth the stop, especially with the house made strawberry rhubarb jam. The staff are friendly and attentive. Everything I tried was delicious (blackened salmon, cheesy grits, potatoes, beignets, and house ketchup).
My only regret about this adorable cafe is that it isn’t in my home town. Situated just off of Main Street, and directly across from free public parking, the cafe is easy to get to. I had the nicest conversation with the staff. The food was wonderful, flavorful, and unique. What a refreshing start to the work day. 🥰 Nicely done Lucille’s.
Visited Colorado for a wedding. Lucille's was a +, as they had expresso drinks and one of the party favored them. It was 5-7 mins from the Air B n B we were at. Went twice--first morning had The Eisenhower, eggs, grits or potatoes, meat choice and a biscuit. I chose cheesy grits. Great waitress, Great coffee...and how they made the biscuit must've been Creole magic!! Next morning went back. Had a cheese omelet w/ham, regular grits, and the yummy biscuit. They are a staple w/ the menu item.
Service was great. The restaurant is built into annold house. The floors creak, there are random walls everywhere, the wood panelling is ageing. In otherwords, the atmosphere is perfect for the food. The biscuits were huge and fluffy. Great food all around.
