affoGATO Cat Cafe

I heard about affoGATO from a local on my flight to Cleveland, and I’m so glad I listened! I’ve been to several cat cafes, but the perfectly punny name alone made this a must-visit. ​Book ahead before visiting the cat cafe area. Otherwise you will have to just watch them through the glass. Reservations are highly recommended and easy to do. When we visited, they had several new arrivals from the shelter. While some were still shy and adjusting, others were incredibly friendly. We fell in love with Milo, who reminded us so much of our own cat back home! ​The space is well planned. The layout is great. There’s plenty of vertical space for the cats to roam and various seating options for humans as well to relax in the company of the cats. ​After our cat session, we grabbed an affogato. They use Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream, which is a local hero and made the drink so good! ​Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend supporting this spot.

My first time ever going to a cat cafe. I went here with my friend to play with the cats. I was a bit skeptical at first since I’m not a cat person, but I found myself wanting to come back ever since our last trip here. The staff are friendly and very helpful when it comes to the cats. That came in handy for me since, again, I’ve never really been around cats. I ordered a black tea with sugar, my friend ordered their hot chocolate with oat milk. Both drinks were nice. I’d definitely stop by just to get their tea. Will be coming back again.

The furbabies were so cute to be around 🥹🥹🥹 The staff take great care of the cats and having a 2 month old furbaby fall asleep in your arms was such a core memory I will treasure. Do make sure you get a reservation online to be with the cats.

Whether you’re looking to adopt your first cat, add another rescue cat to your household or just hang out with cats, Affogato Cat Café is the place to be. On the café side (which is separate from the kitty lounge room), there’s delicious drinks and treats, friendly customer service and products for sale made by local artists. The cat lounge is cozy and such a wonderful environment for rescue cats to receive more socialization and are all cared for phenomenally. My husband and I already have three rescue cats at home, so we love supporting the café and spending time with the adoptable cats and get so excited when adoptions are announced! If you can’t go to the café in person, they livestream on Twitch. Cats, coffee and fun - can’t ask for more! Definitely stop by, get a delicious cup of coffee and be sure to make cat lounge reservations ahead of time! You won’t regret it 😻☕️

Wandered in here as tourists looking for cat cafes. Cat visits are normally by appointment only, but as luck would have it somebody cancelled their visit, so the staff cut us a little slack. Lots of cute kitties up for adoption, some of whom can be a bit spicy at times, so be sure to respect their boundaries and listen to what the staff have to say about them. I was allowed to give some quality ear scratches. :)
