Buddy Brew Coffee

I stopped by Buddy Brew on a warm morning, and it instantly felt like a solid local spot. The place has a relaxed, modern vibe without trying too hard. I ordered a cold brew, and it was bold but smooth, not watered down like you sometimes get elsewhere. The staff moved efficiently but still took a moment to be friendly. I grabbed a seat outside and just enjoyed the Florida sunshine. Definitely the kind of coffee shop I’d return to.

My Americano with an extra shot looked as weak as iced tea, and tasted watery. The barista said she put in 3 shots. I bought two more, to bring it to a typical iced americano strength. $15 total. I buy Americanos from many popular and serious cafes in Manhattan where I live, and know how strong they should normally be. So this was an anomaly. Either the barista has no idea how to measure coffee for a double-shot, or the store intentionally under measures their coffee to save money.

Laughably bad. $5.25 for a cold brew that was 50% milk. Could not even taste the coffee. As evidenced by the color on the two coffees pictured, it was as if we were drinking iced milk. Not worth a minute of your time. Overhyped. Much better cup of coffee at the Palihouse bar.

We were first in line to try their autumnal drink lineup! This Tampa coffee staple is one of the firsts to debut their Fall drinks this past week- and they are uniquely crafted with all those beloved Autumn flavor profiles! We tried them all! 𝙎𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙀𝘿 𝙋𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙆𝙄𝙉 𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀 ESPRESSO, HOUSE-MADE SPICED PUMPKIN & WHOLE MILK, HOT OR ICED 𝙎𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙀𝘿 𝙋𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙆𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙈 𝘾𝙊𝙇𝘿 𝘽𝙍𝙀𝙒 COLD BREW TOPPED WITH SPICED PUMPKIN COLD FOAM 𝘾𝙊𝙇𝙀’𝙎 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙄 𝘾𝙄𝘿𝙀𝙍 CHAI, APPLE CIDER & WHOLE MILK, HOT OR ICED 𝘾𝙄𝙉𝙉𝘼𝙈𝙊𝙉 𝙍𝙊𝙇𝙇 𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀 ESPRESSO, BROWN SUGAR CINNAMON, WHOLE MILK, TOPPED WITH VANILLA COLD FOAM 𝙎𝘼𝙇𝙏𝙀𝘿 𝙈𝘼𝙋𝙇𝙀 𝙁𝙇𝘼𝙏 𝙒𝙃𝙄𝙏𝙀 (my favorite!) ESPRESSO, MAPLE SYRUP, WHOLE MILK, TOPPED WITH SALTED VANILLA COLD FOAM We also enjoyed a few of their 𝙎𝘾𝙍𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙐𝙎 handcrafted breaky sandwiches and a blueberry almond scone! Everything was fresh and artfully created! We were thoroughly impressed with our breakfast order! 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙈𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙨, 𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙮!
