Crema's Take
“Nestled in Breckenridge, Columbine Café draws crowds for its hearty, from-scratch breakfast and lunch—think thick-cut bacon, homemade corned beef hash with smoky depth, and green pork chili that clearly knows its way around a recipe. The cozy, family-friendly space rewards your patience with genuinely attentive service, generous portions, and the kind of comfort food that makes a mountain town morning feel like home, though arriving early is essential to skip the legendary wait.”

We stopped in here while on the way home from Breckenridge. We had to wait over an hour to get in on a Tuesday morning. The food is good, but not good enough to wait an hour for. The pancakes are huge. They cover an entire large plate. My omelette was fluffy and you could tell it was made with real ingredients. This place doesn’t let you split checks.
Quaint and cozy cafe with great comfort food. Friendly and attentive service. Large portions. The southwestern baked potato was tasty. The tortilla soup was a winner. Bacon was thick and delicious. Location is a little tricky to find. The restaurant is settled back off of the main road through town.
We appreciated that this cafe had a wide variety of food. Our kids loved the chicken tenders, fries and fruit cups. The food tasted very good, but the biscuits were dry. Our server was very helpful and friendly. They gave our kids a coloring page and crayons while we waited for our food.
Excellent breakfast and selection! Veronica was a wonderful server! Had the trout and eggs. The green pork chili was excellent! The homemade corn beef hash had a nice smokie flavor! Everything excellent!! Didn't have the big pancakes, but took a picture of them. They looked good too!!
Great breakfast! We were so happy with this place! Great service and very good food! Real maple syrup available!!! Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs! Lots of coffee refills. We parked a few blocks away and walked. The entrance sits between streets in a little alley way that stretches between the Main Street and the alley way it took a minute for us to figure that out but really it just added to the experience.
