Peacock Market
1427 Tollhouse Rd, Clovis, CA
Crema's Take
“Peacock Market is a beloved Clovis landmark that's experienced a real revival, now serving as a vibrant community gathering spot with surprisingly excellent food from in-house vendors like Pickled Deli and Miguel's alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of hard-to-find liquor and specialty items. The space itself feels bright and welcoming with plenty of room to settle in, making it ideal for a casual meetup over coffee and a quality bite, and the staff genuinely seem to care about making your visit feel personal and warm. Whether you're stopping by for a quick coffee grab or lingering over one of their generous sandwiches and burritos, there's a real sense that this place has been lovingly restored by people who understand what made it special in the first place.”

Pulled up to Peacock Market and they treated me really well, super friendly, helpful, and just good people overall. 🙌 The store is clean, organized, and they’ve got a surprisingly wide selection. You can tell they take care of their customers, and the vibe inside is welcoming. Grabbed a few things and the prices were solid too. Always nice finding local spots that show real hospitality. Definitely coming back to Peacock Market. 💯
I am very disappointed with my experience at this store. The older man working here is consistently rude and makes racist comments. I am Indian, and whenever I visit, he directs offensive remarks at me and uses abusive language toward customers, especially if they do not understand his language. I calmly spoke to him and asked him not to behave this way because it is wrong and disrespectful. Instead of understanding, he became angry and refused to let me enter the store. This behavior reflects very poorly on the business and the community the store represents. Customer service should be respectful to everyone, regardless of background. I kindly request that the owner look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action, including considering retirement for this employee, so customers can feel safe and respected.
Used to go there 25+ years ago to get chunks of carnitas. I moved away and when I used to return to Fresno I’d stop by but it wasn’t the same. It was like it was dying a slow death. But on my last visit back this place has completely changed. Now it’s like a mini food court. What a great idea to repurpose the space. Glad to see that it’s back and evolved into what it today.
Peacock market is my place to find liquor that is sometimes hard to find. They have a great selection for very reasonable prices. They also have some great food if you're hungry. It's not far from my workplace, so I'm constantly stopping there.
These folks did a great job reviving a Clovis landmark... We got food at Pickled Deli & Miguel's. Mom's sandwich was a generous size, as was the burrito I picked up. Seating is wide open, well-lit, and clean as a whistle. The beer & whiskey selection on the Peacock end was impressive, and the blend of original coolers with the updated counters looks great. This could be the new go-to on that end of town.
