Press Coffee - EVB
200 E Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ
Crema's Take
“Tucked just steps from downtown Phoenix's Sheraton, this espresso-focused spot punches above its weight with thoughtful specialty drinks and an impressive pour-over program that draws both conference attendees and local coffee lovers alike. The standout Shakers—cold brew elevated with creative flavors like peanut butter—are perfectly calibrated for Phoenix's brutal heat, while the baristas consistently deliver conversational, attentive service even during their busiest rushes. Clean, airy, and committed to their own roasting, this is the kind of neighborhood gem that rewards a quick detour.”

The service was very friendly. The barista was very conversational. The latte was exceptionally foamy and the quality of the caffeine was exemplary. However, the Atmosphere was a bit too sterile for my taste. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this place a 7.
If you are at the downtown Sheraton for any reason this is worth the 2 minute walk. Coffee and pastries are delicious. The Shakers drinks are perfect to combat the early morning heat of Phoenix!
I was in town for a conference at the Sheraton and was pleasantly surprised to find a specialty coffee shop next door. I like to support local and especially places that do their own roasting. They have a pour over menu and things were a little busy but they didn’t mind and I didn’t mind waiting. I tried their Reserve coffee which is a Panamanian honey process geisha. Their pour overs are pretty large - a full 16oz. It was quite good. I’d like to try some of their other coffees and can certainly recommend.
Nice little coffee shop. Clean and spacious and airy. Plenty of coffee options, from your traditional pours and espressos to cold brew and shakers, which are cold brew with peanut butter or other flavors. I got the chocolate peanut butter shaker, it's got that classic chocolate and peanut butter flavor mix with a good underlay of coffee, and plenty of that in there as well for a good kick.
It was such a great experience here- there was only one barista for a busy Saturday. But she did the best job ever to be poised and took care of everyone with such high customer service and quality coffee drink making. The depth on coffee flavor is great. Location is cool to grab a drink and walk downtown.
