Maven Coffee and Cocktails
1717 Allen Pkwy, Houston, TX
Crema's Take
“Maven strikes an elegant balance as both a hotel lobby coffee spot and a creative destination in its own right, where you can order a matcha latte that actually tastes amazing alongside inventive dishes like Lobster Chilaquiles Matcha. The modern, clean space welcomes both laptop workers seeking a comfortable perch for a few hours and cocktail seekers in the evening, backed by bartenders like Carlton who genuinely engage with their craft and test new recipes. While seating is intimate rather than sprawling, the mix of couches, barstools, and tables creates an upscale atmosphere that feels more curated than typical coffee shop fare.”

considered to be lobby bar/ coffee shop for the hotel. Not a lot of seating but can carry on a conservation comfortablely. Coffee and tea latte are tasty.
Came in to do some work and ordered a matcha latte that tasted amazing. The overall aesthetic is modern, clean, and comfy. Recommended if your in the area.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! I ordered the Lobster Chilaquiles Matcha along with a Lavender Latte, and both were absolutely fantastic. The chilaquiles had the perfect balance of flavors, and the matcha added a unique twist that worked beautifully. The lavender latte was smooth, fragrant, and perfectly crafted. The lobster roll was a bit bland for my taste, but everything else was top-notch. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!
We came here for cocktails after dinner at a restaurant across the parking lot. Carlton, the bartender, was great. We chatted with him about the drinks, a few of which he had been testing out & were excellent! The Ballroom Martini was unique & delicious. He also made me a filthy dirty martini with blue cheese olives that is now in my top 3 dirty martinis in the city - it was perfect. My husband & I were very pleased with our first visit & will return.
Tried their chai latte, which tasted pretty watery The interior feels upscale with seating from on couches, to barstools and tables, to seats and tables. They do close a little earlier on Sunday’s and the seating is limited to the coffee shop itself.
