It had been years since I have been to the Lemon Tree. Typically, it is a sit down service from noon until 1pm. I work nearby but I don’t usually have time to go. When they offered a take out day for the first time (that I know of) I jumped at the chance. I ordered in advance online, which was quick and convenient. When I came to pick up the order it was quick and easy with friendly service. The food was great and they did not skimp on the portion size. I hope they continue have take out days.

It makes my heart happy to see that The Lemon Tree is still serving meals and teaching students. As a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in nutrition and dietetics my eyes filled with tears when I saw that this opportunity is still available to students. Wow! This place is a refreshing break from the onslaught of psudo-local food restaurants. They actually take the time and effort to vet thier suppliers and bring to the table truely local fresh produce and protein. They meld those ingredients with light seasonings allowing the wonderful flavors of our fantastic Kentucky products to shine! Eat here, your palette will thank you.
