The Table Coffee
1122 Howard St, Omaha, NE
Crema's Take
“Tucked into a downtown Omaha corner, this cafe feels like the kind of place that's been part of the community for years, with a genuinely welcoming staff who'll accommodate your group even at closing time. Beyond the reliable espresso drinks, they've built a reputation for hearty, generous food—think brisket bowls with chipotle heat and a notably expansive gluten-free menu including GF biscuits and gravy—making it as much a destination for a lingering breakfast as for coffee. It's the kind of spot where you can sink in for an hour with friends or grab a quick quality bite, and either way, you'll feel like a regular.”

While on a layover in Omaha, I stopped in looking for coffee and a light breakfast. I ordered a small latte, which was surprisingly large for the size — I’m glad I didn’t go bigger. Unfortunately, it was quite watered down and didn’t have the richness I expect from an espresso drink. That said, the service was very friendly and impressively fast. I sat at the bar and ordered the Power Packed Breakfast Sandwich with sausage on super grain waffles, and that was excellent — flavorful, satisfying, and a great start to the day. I’d happily return for breakfast, though I might make a different coffee choice next time.
I really enjoyed the food here; the service was super fast, and the food arrived very quickly. I liked that one combo was enough for two people, and we were more than satisfied. I loved the taste of the pancakes at this place, and best of all, they're gluten-free!
Large Gluten-free menu including GF biscuits and gravy! Our server (Emily) had recommended an off menu item called Brisket bowl with just the right amount of heat from Chipotle sauce. Delicious! Emily was so helpful with tasty menu recommendations and provide friendly and attentive service.
10/23/2025 The gang and I ended up going maybe an hour before they closed for the day but the staff had no problem setting up our group of 5 with a table. I got the caramel apple latte hot it was so warm on a chilly morning I love that they give you the choice for milk( I got oat). I got the old market berry oat bake with a side of whipped cream (personally it was a bit dry). This place has lots of seating (booths and tables) with lots of natural light a merchandise for purchase Bathroom rating: 5/5
I was looking for an older, non-corporate cafe for breakfast and came across The Table Coffee Company. Nestled in the middle of downtown Omaha, it’s an easy access corner location surrounded by a wide variety of shops. Inside offers old wood trimming windows, brick walls, comfy booths, mixed modern furniture and a very large area for groups. The menu has a wide item variety, reasonably priced. I found the portions and taste to be excellent, as well as the coffee! Service was outstanding, with perfectly timed coffee refills well appreciated. This cafe is also very handicapped accessible. Don’t let the absence of handicap parking stop you as Omaha City ordinance allows free parking in metered stalls with disabled parking permits. I also noticed a wide variety of customers, young, old and families, all mixed together. I was surprised at the lack of noise, possibly due to the open space and high ceiling. Definitely worth checking out when in Omaha!
