First Drop

Crema's Take
“First Drop is a charming café tucked inside the Ritz-Carlton at Grande Lakes where the staff's genuine warmth and helpfulness shine as bright as their espresso skills. Their cappuccinos are solid, pastries are fresh (the chocolate croissants especially benefit from their willingness to warm them up), and the relaxed atmosphere works equally well for a quick morning grab before the pool or a leisurely sit with family. Just be prepared for resort pricing and approach the food offerings as pleasant accompaniments rather than culinary adventures.”

Expensive terrible food. Had a breakfast croist which said fried egg but seemed like it had been microwaved for about 10 minutes until the texture was like a car tire.
It’s the first stop of the day on the way to the pool. They have pastries, muffins, fruit, cereal and even little sandwiches. The staff is absolutely the most helpful people you could ever meet. My one complaint, they should have breakfast sandwiches or something with eggs, something more traditional.
The coffee was great, cappuccino. I ordered croissant, lady asked if I wanted plain or chocolate. Splurged on the chocolate & asked if she could heat it up. She says yes. Waited 5 min & she hands me heated plain croissant, she hurried to the back. I said it is supposed to be the chocolate one. Another woman yells at another “just give her the chocolate”. I found that comment not aligned with Ritz Carlton standards. I asked the same lady if they validate parking, she told me the concierge would do that. Found that odd. She was wrong. In addition, found out this is a leased establishment not managed by Ritz Carlton. I was going to go back and order to go and decided not to after that service.
Let me tell you firsthand — First Drop Café at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes was good, really good. From the moment I walked in, I knew this would be a place worth savoring. The café has a modern charm, and their locally roasted coffee hits the spot perfectly. I tried their farm quiche, and wow — it was flavorful, fresh, and filling without being too heavy. The staff was friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the experience even better. Their menu is packed with options like handcrafted sandwiches, fresh wraps, baked goods, and even some sweet gelato treats if you're feeling indulgent. And let's not forget the Florida-fresh orange juice and smoothies — a perfect way to kickstart your day in sunny Orlando. Whether you’re a guest or just popping by for a great coffee break, First Drop is a spot you won’t regret visiting. It’s definitely earned a place on my list of go-to cafés.
