A La Mousse

Crema's Take
“A La Mousse is a petite Philly gem where creative desserts take center stage, from their namesake earl grey mousse layered with hazelnut praline and fresh fruit to stunning mango cakes with white chocolate glazed shells that are as beautiful as they are balanced in flavor. The intimate, limited-seating space encourages a deliberate pace whether you're grabbing your order to go or settling in late into the evening, and the team's attentiveness shines through in every detail, from calling ahead about delivery orders to treating each guest with genuine warmth. If you're seeking desserts that are elegant, not cloyingly sweet, and made with obvious care, this cozy spot is worth the trip.”

Small with limited seating Due to limited seating you either take to go or sit and order. We wanted to order to go because we knew we wouldn’t finish and wanted to leave with our stuff already in to go boxes. We sat instead but next time we’ll just take to go because it takes so much longer to get the desserts and then get to go boxes and wait for check. Every dessert was we got was beautiful and delicious. Prices are fair for the quality of the dessert.
DELICIOUS so happy I finally got to try! We got the earl grey mousse, with a hazelnut praline, raspberry and peach. So delectable. The ambiance is nice, they are open late, and the gal was so sweet. I will definitely be back.
The little Mango cake $10 shaped like a mango was really good! White chocolate glazed shell over a mango mousse. The family enjoyed this both kids and adults.
These desserts are delicious and aesthetically pleasing! I have tried most of them and they are all the perfect balance. Not too rich or sweet. I’m an hour away and happily drive to Philly just for this place. I have not read the other reviews but am surprised they don’t have a 5 star rating.
As a first time customer, I ordered a couple of deserts and a milkshake online from ALM for delivery through a third party delivery service. Within 2 minutes of my orders they called me to apologize that they did not have the flavor milkshake I had originally ordered and offered me the alternatives. I picked a different flavor because we are easy about that kind of stuff. When we got the order we were very pleasantly surprised to find that they included a second milkshake at no extra charge presumably as an apology for not having the original flavor. To me that is about as classy as you get and the sign of a well run business with an empowered staff. My past experience with something being 86ed while ordering through a 3rd party delivery resulted in any one of the following: A call and offer to substitute, No call substitution of their choice, the item just gets left out. So to get the second milkshake, while unnecessary is 100% appreciated and has me writing this review immediately after finishing our desserts. Sidebar the milkshake was very tasty. Definitely try the tiramisu and the mango crepe cake. We really loved them both. I will 100% be ordering again soon from ALM not just because the desserts are so tasty but because of the one thoughtful gesture of an extra milkshake due to an unavailable flavor!
