Matching Half Cafe
1799 McAllister St, San Francisco, CA
Crema's Take
“Matching Half is a meticulously curated neighborhood gem where the espresso is as carefully crafted as the flowers adorning the storefront—rich, chocolatey pulls that pair perfectly with their solid breakfast sandwiches and bagels. The sun-drenched outdoor seating and peaceful interior make it equally suited for lingering over a laptop or settling in for unhurried conversation, though you'll want to time your food and drink orders to arrive together. It's the kind of place where locals return because the team clearly cares about every detail, from the pristine curb appeal down to the quality of what's in your cup.”

Cute local spot and I have to give them a shot out for the flowers— The storefront flowers are always in perfect condition. Major props to the team for keeping the curb appeal so pristine 🪻🌸🌹🌻🌷
First time coming to this coffee shop, and I liked the atmosphere, the place is calming and very peaceful, just perfect for a cup of coffee. Their sandwiches are delicious and very tasty, they give you a sense of comfort. I'm excited to come back here, everyone is so nice and that's definitely a plus 🤍
We ordered a latte and a bagel and loved both. Just make sure they serve them at the same time. We had to wait 25 minutes for the bagels after the lattes were served.
Came here on a sunny, Sunday afternoon, and she did not disappoint! For starters, the espresso was rich, creamy, and chocolatey. Just the way I love it. There was also several tables outdoors, perfectly positioned to catch the day’s rays. My partner got the breaky sandwich, which he approved of. I got the muesli (gluten free) with coconut yogurt, bananas, blueberries, peanut butter, and added macadamia nuts. It was just the type of breakfast I was looking for. Plenty of people working on their laptops too, so I suspect it has free/reliable wifi.
Recommended by a friend who lives nearby and I definitely see why they likes it. Besides coffee they also offer pastries and various breakfast items, service is friendly and there are plenty of outdoor seating available. Coffee was decent, but the more memorable for me is the delicious ham and cheese croissant. The ham was thick cut and the cheese strong and salted, and the croissant has a good texture. It's a very satisfying breakfast pastry.
