Crema's Take

This beloved Indianapolis spot excels at freshly baked pastries that sell out quickly, from excellent cinnamon rolls to creative flavors like ube guava—though arriving early is essential since options dwindle fast. The spacious patio creates an inviting gathering space, and while the interior layout feels quirky and cramped around a central retail display, the warm staff and quality local specialty items make it worth navigating. Best visited in the morning when pastries are fresh and the coffee pairs perfectly with their standout baked goods.

The pastries didn’t taste fresh. They seemed like they had sat for a long time. I refreshed them in the microwave and that made them better, but wasn’t wowed. For the price, it was a pretty disappointing experience. The atmosphere inside was cool, but I took things to go.

Amelia's offers mouthwatering sweet and savoury treats, excellent drinks and a variety of local and speciality items, such as eggs, milk, yoghurt, pasta etc. Staff was sweet and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. There is some indoor and outdoor seating. We can recommend the cinnamon role and the capocollo twist. The woke influence of indy is a bit in your face, but not too bad. They served the dine in treats in paper bags and the drinks in paper cups. Switching to actual dishes would make the experience a bit better.

The cinnamon roll was excellent. The coffee was pretty food too. It gets a 4 star from me because the layout is really funky with a big table in the middle with products to sell and hardly any room to sit. The staff was helpful but didn’t seem very enthusiastic. Overall good not great experience

This place is pretty cool. Very nice patio/deck area. It would be awesome if they served sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. The pastries sell out fast and then your options get limited really fast. Other than coffee everything is grab and go. Nothing made to order. Coffee is top notch, but I had to go find something to eat somewhere else.

This is the best place to get baked goodies in Indy. We went two days in a row recently. Purchased the Banana choc chip cupcake, choc cookie, oatmeal pecan cookie, cinnamon roll croissant, ube guava croissant, buttermilk biscuit, oat peanut butter cookie, all 10 out of 10. The baked goods are perfectly crisp on the exterier with moist/soft interiors. Texture and mouth feel on point, clean flavor, good quality ingredient taste. The coffee special of the day was very good. Exceptional taste, quality, consistent, unique selection, new baked items added regularly.
