Crema's Take

PEP Bakehouse & Coffee Shop strikes that rare balance between a quick caffeine pit stop and a genuine destination worth lingering in, with baristas who actually listen to your preferences and pull consistently excellent espresso-based drinks. The pastries here are genuinely special—reviewers can't stop raving about the croissants and chocolate cookies—making it feel less like a generic coffee shop and more like a neighborhood bakery that takes both its coffee and baked goods seriously. It's the kind of cozy, friendly spot in Brooklyn where you can grab and go before catching the Verrazano, or settle in to actually enjoy your time there.

I have been here once before a couple months ago actually maybe July August , I stopped in was with a friend playing Pokemon go lol and we went in thinking it was only coffee, comfy sitting area was what I noticed afterrrr I saw they had macaroons and delicious almond croissants and I forgot what else was got and the coffee is actually a good coffee, the woman behind the counter a blessed woman wearing a hijab I remember how lovely and welcoming she was! The coffee was great, the pastries were DELECTABLE the fanciest food critic word I know lol, Coffee great, sitting? Atmosphere* is my answer to that and the worker employee she was the best and good taste in pastries for putting me on to the almond croissant! And now I see a cherry almond croissant and that gives me the definite reason to come back! - A bit rambly it’s okay tho it’s a google review and as I lay in bed on Christmas I am craving a pastry pastry and then I started thinking about this place and at the time of this you guys were closed :( it’s okay a day off for Christmas you guys deserve it

A quick & convenient stop before hopping on the Verrazano. We snagged street parking right in front. Staff was very friendly. Everything looks amazing. If we weren't on a long trip I would have got some of the desserts. The food and drinks we got were all good quality and yummy! Items ordered: iced oat milk caramel latte, iced coffee, plain croissant, pistachio croissant (must try!), spinach bistro (yum!)
