Crema's Take

Tucked into New Haven's historic district, this tiny espresso-focused spot punches above its weight with expertly pulled lattes and creative signature drinks that justify the snug quarters. The owner's infectious personality transforms what could feel cramped into something genuinely charming—regulars rave about the quality coffee and excellent pastries (those cheese danishes and muffins get real love), plus you might catch live jazz from the local high school while sipping outside. It's a "order and go" kind of place, but the kind where you'll want to linger anyway.

It’s a very small coffee shop. The muffins were very good, DH liked his cheese danish. My latte was great. We sat outside and listened to the jazz band from the local high school play. They were raising funds for senior day. We were lucky to hear such good music

A small coffee place full of characters. The coffee was ok, but the baklava was way too sweet for me.

This is a very small coffee shop. Order and pay inside. One small two seat table outside. Definitely order and go. It’s a little awkward due to small space. Ordered iced vanilla latte add pistachio. This was by far the BEST coffee I had in our 4 days in New Haven. So yummy. Added a cream cheese danish, chocolate chocolate chip muffin and baklava. He heated the danish and muffin. Both very good. We had never had baklava but enjoyed the very sweet treat. I would definitely be a coffee regular here if I lived in the area. Stop here!!!!!

Midpoint is one of those cute coffee shops one can find all over. This branch in the heart of the historic district is a nice touch. The couple of times I have been here, I found the coffee to be quite satisfactory. My one regret was in both occasions, I was in a hurry, and had to make my visit a quick in and out. I definitely loved the pastries I had. They hit the spot.

Super cute coffee shop! I ordered an iced latte -- it was delicious & very high quality. Owner is also friendly and funny, he creates a very welcoming environment. I'll definitely be going back here next time I'm in new haven. I highly recommend!
