Hope Coffee at DTS
1200 Apple St, Dallas, TX
Crema's Take
“Nestled at Dallas Theological Seminary, this spot serves excellent, reasonably-priced coffee in a thoughtfully designed space with couches, leather chairs, and standing tables that cater equally to serious studiers and lingerers. The faith-centered atmosphere—complete with soft Christian music and genuinely warm staff—creates an unusually contemplative refuge that feels worlds apart from the typical coffee chain, though service consistency seems to vary depending on who's behind the counter. Whether you're there to tackle work or simply sink into the comfortable seating for an unhurried afternoon, the quality of both the coffee and the environment makes it a genuine neighborhood gem.”

Haven’t had the food yet, but this is refuge for the Lord’s scholars. The ambiance (temperature, soft Christian music, likeminded servants of Christ) is great! I had to leave this review posthaste to make it review number 67. God bless you, brothers and sisters! Christ is King!
Hope Coffee is an excellent coffee shop. There is ample seating available for all kinds of study: couches, tables, leather chairs, standing tables. The coffee is excellent and very reasonably priced. I personally recommend bringing your own cup and getting a “refill” it is only a few bucks for excellent brewed coffee. The staff is very friendly. The one downside is there is not a lot of parking for anyone who is not a student at Dallas Theological Seminary. There is limited parking to the right of the Bailey student center if you are facing the building. However, if you can find your way into the building, there is excellent outside and inside seating. I highly recommend this place and have had always good interactions with the staff.
Good coffee.. but lackluster environment. Service was very quiet and awkward. Non welcoming and not so friendly. Young kids working behind the counter didn't even acknowledge my presence. It seems very community based. So if you're visiting out of town.. as I am.. you might just feel a bit out of place. Might give it a try one more time when I visit Dallas in the near future. The surrounding area is nice and peaceful.
A very good local coffee shop that transcends the nearby Starbucks leaps and bounds. The staff is friendly, and Faith based, because it is at Dallas Theological Seminary. It's a bonus that they are right next door to the great Bookcenter. You can choose added flavors, and they can work with you for special requests. The draw back is the short hours. When we were there on a Friday, it closed at 5pm. It would be a great place to visit in the evening.
Great coffee, friendly baristas and excellent place to study with comfortable couches
