Aroma Cafe

Crema's Take
“Tucked into a quiet West Allis corner with ample parking, Aroma Cafe celebrates Puerto Rican coffee culture through thoughtfully crafted drinks and pastries that go beyond the typical café menu—think coquito lattes and coffee flights alongside fresh avocado toast and house-made almond cake. The cozy, locally-owned space feels genuinely welcoming with playful artwork adorning the walls and baristas who match the warm energy, making it a true destination for anyone seeking something more creative than standard espresso drinks, even if the limited weekend hours (10am-3pm) require some planning ahead.”

I have been trying to make it to Aroma since I first saw it opened, but the weekend hours, 10am - 3pm, make it a little challenging. I wish they opened a little bit earlier, as by 10 I kind of forget about it. I met up with a friend shortly after opening. There are so many delicious looking treats and coffees to choose from. I got a chai latte that was perfect and was ready so quick! They had a good flow of people thoughout the time we were there and I loved that they had art for sale as well as some Puerto Rican merch. Would love to come back and try more!
Great coffee place at the quiet corner and easy to find parking spots. I ordered Americano, avocado toast and tiramisu. The avocado with lots of bacon which is nice but too salty to me. The tiramisu was ok.
This is a cute coffee shop to stop at while you are in town. I loved the deep ties to Puerto Rico by their inclusion of typical flavors in drinks and pastries. I decided to go with the coffee flight so I could try a few different coffees during my visit. The Aroma signature flavor (Coquito) was a unique flavor I have not found at other coffee shops and I would order it again! I also really enjoyed the Churro latte and the So Swicy latte (my husband and brother-in-law liked it too). The almond cake was delicious- I would buy it as a big cake if possible. The cafe is cozy with plenty of seating. It isn't too loud and has a lot of natural lighting. This is a unique place for Wisconsin and I am glad I tried it out. As a Spanish teacher who has not been to Puerto Rico yet, I left with a few ideas of things to make in my classroom for students to try!
What a cozy place. Fun paintings for sale and fun and positive barista! This establishment is definitely destination worthy for the coffee/latte flights. So much fun, got to try 4 different things and can get them hot or cold!
Cute, locally owned cafe. The almond cake was delicious. I advise warming up the danish prior to eating. I also had the winter special coquito latte which had a light and unique flavor. You can tell they believe in supporting local and especially brown communities which is great! The city thrives on diversity and inclusion. Excited to see what else they can offer in the future. I’d love to see live music or poetry.
